Well, if in your opinion, I'm a 10 year old, I guess I have to respond to you as if you're still in the womb. You know, a person that can't even connect the dots on a pre school paper. Alas, even at the womb level, it's still so simple to see. I'm sorry your eyes betray you.

Interesting. I found this as well:
The Jose Andres stuff appears to be symbolic, but it's also pretty dumb. That dude does a lot of humanitarian work and is a genuinely nice dude. Oh well, whatever, not huge in the grand scheme of things, though.
Trump fires Mark Milley and José Andrés amid plans for mass purge of Biden administration Milley was once the most senior uniformed officer at the Pentagon and had turned against Trump in the years between his presidencies
US politics live – latest updates Adam Gabbatt in New York
Donald Trump fired Mark Milley from his role on the National Infrastructure Advisory Council on Tuesday. Milley is a retired army general who served as the most senior uniformed officer at the Pentagon as chair of the joint chiefs of staff under Trump and Joe Biden.
Trump announced the firing in a social media post, after Milley sharply turned against him in the years between his presidencies, ultimately branding him “a total fascist”.
Writing on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote that his administration was also “actively in the process of identifying and removing over a thousand presidential appointees from the previous administration”, in a mass purge in his first 24 hours in office.
José Andrés, a celebrity chef known for his human rights activism, who served on the council on sports, fitness and nutrition, has also been fired. So has Trump’s former special envoy for Iran, Brian Hook, who served at the Wilson center for scholars. Keisha Lance Bottoms, the former mayor of Atlanta, has also been dismissed from the president’s export council.
Milley became a fierce critic of Trump after the president’s first term in office. Last year he told Bob Woodward, the veteran Washington Post journalist, of Trump: “No one has ever been as dangerous to this country.”
“He is the most dangerous person ever. I had suspicions when I talked to you about his mental decline and so forth, but now I realize he’s a total fascist. He is now the most dangerous person to this country. A fascist to the core.”
Biden pre-emptively pardoned Milley on Monday morning, in one of his final acts in office. Trump has previously said that a phone call by Milley to Chinese officials in the wake of the January 6 insurrection, in which Milley sought to reassure the country about the state of the US, was “treasonous act” that was “so egregious that, in times gone by, the punishment would have been DEATH!”
In a sign that Trump continues to hold ill-will towards Milley, a portrait of the former chairman of the joint chiefs of staff was ordered to be removed from the Pentagon on Monday, the New York Times reported.
Andrés is the founder of World Central Kitchen (WCK), a non-profit organization which seeks to provide food to people in disaster zones. He has been critical of Israel’s war on Gaza, including after seven WCK staff were killed in an IDF airstrike in Gaza in April 2024.
In a post on X, Andrés contradicted Trump’s claim that he had been fired.
“I submitted my resignation last week … my two-year term was already up,” Andrés wrote, accompanied by a shrugging emoji and a laughing emoji.
He added: “I hope @realdonaldtrump exercises his presidential authority so the Council can continue to advocate for fitness and good health for all Americans. These are bipartisan issues … nonpartisan issues.”
-----------------------------------------------
I must have overlooked or just outright forgotten the Milley stuff. That guy garnered a ton of respect and was well-thought of by everyone I knew on the job.
Just did a quick search on the hearing that may have discussed the issue at question. Here is a copy/paste (sorry it's not pretty):
Gen. Milley: (37:19) Mr. Chairman, I've served this nation for 42 years. I've spent years in combat, and I've buried a lot of my troops who died while defending this country. My loyalty to this nation, its people, and the Constitution hasn't changed and will never change as long as I have a breath to give. My loyalty is absolute, and I will not turn my back on the fallen. With respect to the Chinese calls, I routinely communicated with my counterpart General Li with the knowledge and coordination of civilian oversight. I am specifically directed to communicate with the Chinese by Department of Defense guidance, the policy dialogue system. These military-to-military communications at the highest level are critical to the security of the United States in order to de-conflict military actions, manage crisis, and prevent war between great powers that are armed with the world's most deadliest weapons. The calls on 30 October and 8 January were coordinated before and after with Secretary Esper and Acting Secretary Miller's staffs and the interagency. Gen. Milley: (38:33) The specific purpose of the October and January calls were generated by concerning intelligence which caused us to believe the Chinese were worried about an attack on them by the United States. I know, I am certain, that President Trump did not intend to attack the Chinese, and it is my directed responsibility, and it was my directed responsibility by the secretary, to convey that intent to the Chinese. My task at that time was to de-escalate. My message, again, was consistent. Stay calm, steady, and de-escalate. We are not going to attack you. At Secretary of Defense Esper's direction, I made a call to General Li on 30 October. Eight people sat in that call with me, and I read out the call within 30 minutes of the call ending. On 31 December, the Chinese requested another call with me. The deputy assistant secretary of defense for Asia Pacific policy helped coordinate my call, which was then scheduled for 8 January, and he made a preliminary call on 6 January. Gen. Milley: (39:47) 11 people attended that call with me, and readouts of this call were distributed to the interagency that same day. Shortly after my call ended with General Li, I personally informed both Secretary of State Pompeo and White House Chief of Staff Meadows about the call, among other topics. Soon after that, I attended a meeting with Acting Secretary Miller, where I briefed him on the call. Later that same day on 8 January, Speaker of the House Pelosi called me to inquire about the president's ability to launch nuclear weapons. I sought to assure her that nuclear launch is governed by a very specific and deliberate process. She was concerned and made various personal references characterizing the president. I explained to her that the president is the sole nuclear launch authority, and he doesn't launch them alone, and that I am not qualified to determine the mental health of the president of the United States. Gen. Milley: (40:51) There are processes, protocols, and procedures in place, and I repeatedly assured her that there is no chance of an illegal, unauthorized, or accidental launch. By presidential directive and secretary defense directives, the chairman is part of the process to ensure the president is fully informed when determining the use of the world's deadliest weapons. By law, I am not in the chain of command, and I know that. However, by presidential directive and DOD instruction, I am in the chain of communication to fulfill my legal statutory role as the president's primary military advisor. After the Speaker Pelosi call, I convened a short meeting in my office with key members of my staff to refresh all of us on the procedures which we practiced daily at the action officer level. Additionally, I immediately informed Acting Secretary of Defense Miller of Speaker Pelosi's phone call. At no time was I attempting to change or influence the process, usurp authority, or insert myself in the chain of command. But I am expected, I am required, to give my advice and ensure that the president is fully informed on military matters. I am submitting for the record a more detailed and unclassified memorandor that I believe you all now have, although late, and I welcome a thorough walkthrough on every single one of these events. And I'd be happy in a classified session to talk in detail about the intelligence that drove these calls. I'm also happy to make available any email, phone logs, memoranda, witnesses, or anything else you need to understand these events. My oath is to support the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic, and I will never turn my back on that oath. I firmly believe in civilian control of the military as a bedrock principle, essential to the health of this republic, and I'm committed to ensuring that the military stays clear of domestic politics. I look forward to your questions, and thank you, Chairman, for the extra time.

He was mean to trump and told the truth about him! Fire him now! I think it had more to do with him allegedly making secret calls to China. If true, that would have been an actionable offense. I don't know what the truth is but it shouldn't be taken lightly. We know he made the calls but we don't know who if anyone told him to. There's a ton in the transcript that I posted above, but hopefully what I posted provided some insight.

Trump doesn’t want honest people who will do the right thing in his government. Take that other job, we both know where you fall. I don’t see you licking those boots.

I notice how you avoided addressing any of the points I brought up like the plague. I can't say I blame you. I'll give you yet another opportunity to see if you have any ability to hold an adult conversation. To see if you have any logic to add to your nothing post................. Trump has been calling his family "The Biden Crime Family". He told his voters that "He will be their retribution". Has has said that the Jan.6th panel were criminals and should be in jail. Anyone and everyone with a brain that has paid attention knows this.
You see, when someone places a bullseye on the backs of the innocent somebody needs to protect them from persecution clearly coming their way.
You make it sound like Biden pardoned people who were found guilty of committing seditious conspiracy (Stewart Rhodes). Or a man who attacked police officers at the Capitol with pepper spray and a chair was sentenced to more than 14 years in prison. (Peter Schwartz). Or a former New York City police officer and Marine Corps veteran, that was sentenced to 10 years in prison plus three years of supervised release for swinging a metal flagpole at police before tackling one officer and yanking his gas mask off on Jan. 6. (Thomas Webster)
What you seem to be doing is claiming how terrible it is to pardon people that have been targeted while they haven't been found guilty of anything. While on the other hand you've made no mention of pardoning people such as the one's I've described above. Do you see any dots to connect there?

I actually gave you a side by said comparison between the two groups being pardoned. I actually explained to you how trump has plainly put a target on their backs with his words. Calling those in Biden's family "The Biden crime family". They have already wasted the entire time trump has been president investigating Joe Biden to try to come up with an excuse to impeach him. I understand how nothing would please you more if this was allowed to go on forever. How he has stated that those on the Jan. 6th panel should be in jail. And then you wonder why I said this would be like trying to explain it to a 10 year old. I didn't avoid anything.

I thought none of these people did anything wrong? You thought correctly. If none of them did anything wrong, why pardon them? If there's no proof of any wrongdoing, why pardon them preemptively? Oh, yeah.................they DID do something wrong. I'm just laughing..............."they didn't do anything wrong. (that you know of), but I'm going to pardon them for things they never did, just in case you find out they did." What a freaking joke. Sad. Pit gave you 10? That was way more than this drivel deserves. He already mansplained it to you, yet you missed that bit somehow and are stuck on waiting for a reply to nonsensical ironies that simply don’t exist in logical, critical thinking minds. Back to the monkey bars for another go at original thought for you… upgrade to a whiteboard and erasable marker to work it out. The crayon work is ALL OUTSIDE of the lines. Btw- whenever you’re in the mood for a proper brow beating, I’m your huckleberry.

Oh? You and pit have both shown what level your intellects are. Let me summarize: "R's, bad, terrible, nazis. D's? Awesome, looking out for the commoners. Border? Secure. Wait. It wasn't secure? R's fault. Inflation through the roof? R's fault, and it happened everywhere. Pardons? If D's do them, needed. If R's do them, terrible nazi's."
You 2 are so far gone it's unbelievable.......except, it's not. You've both proven yourselves to be the left fringe, extreme.
You'll both be fine in the long run.

You'll both be fine in the long run. Those two should see what the Ds did running LA. No water in fire hydrants more worried about fish. The mayor takes a vacation while her citizens loss everything. Biden goes out there and brags about his great granddaughter being born and jokes about fire and Kamala handling it. The citizens were asked to evacuate and no one controlled traffic and roads became gridlock. That is what D's will do for you.

So once again you avoid the topic and points made in my response with only an attack in response. Typical trumpian response. Of course I knew you would never try to address any of it. All you know how to do is yell like your hair is on fire.

And of course you jump in line pretending like you're discussing what the discussion was about? But then that's what people like you and arch do. arch asked me to address his questions which I had already done by claiming I hadn't. Then both of you avoid the entire thing to rant about things that had nothing to do with it. But that's what happens when you can't put up a cognitive debate about something.
You could both do better if you would only try. At least I certainly hope so.

I think the point stands. From what I can tell, nobody on the J6 Committee even asked for a pardon. None of them have been found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt for anything, unlike guys like Torrio, for instance.
To be honest with you, I don’t think Biden should have issued pardons for them. I think the whole pardoning process has been abused left and right and up and down from its initial intent.
I actually think Biden issuing the pardons did Trump a favor. If DOJ went after everyone on the committee, I think it would have looked like quite the politically motivated ish show to most objective voters, at least. Speaking of pardons...Just wondering out loud here. I wonder if Fauci getting a full pardon, or any of them for that matter were called to Congress or court to answer questions, I wonder if the pardon would prevent them from pleading the 5th since nothing they said could be held against them? If they refused to answer and the 5th not being applicable , I wonder if contempt charges could be filed? I am probably missing something. It's late and i just finished my last wine.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. GM Strong
