And the smack talk has begun..... This is from a much larger article available at the link below..... Ex-Notre Dame QB Malik Zaire hammers Ohio State's Will Howard before playoff title game Zaire's remarks came out of left field following the Buckeyes' win over Texas. "All the great QBs Ohio State has had the last 15 yrs and Howard is def the worst one by far and ostate fans are trying to convince me that he's gonna lead them to the chip?!?! Lmao ok I'd even take the OG Jalin Marshall at QB before Howard!!!!!!!!" Zaire wrote on social media. Zaire, who threw six career touchdown passes over three seasons at Notre Dame before transferring to Florida, was instantaneously ripped in the comments by "X" users citing his own career numbers compared to Howard. Zaire would end up losing the starting quarterback battle with Feleipe Franks after signing with the Gators as a graduate transfer. https://247sports.com/college/ohio-...R17Se3El-EnLw_aem_H5C-b9KnwqDPcWa_OZ69dQ

Zaire is still butt hurt that the Buckeyes didn't want him. In his 3rd year at Notre Dame he couldn't beat out Deshone Kizer for qb1 and ran with his tail between his legs to Florida, where he couldn't land the starting job there either. Career over. Now he's just defecating sour grapes.

Ohio State qb’s over the last few years all have unique skill sets. JT Barret was my favorite. - Guy wasn’t the biggest, but he could run and knew where to throw the ball.
We were lucky to have Cardale Jonee during the title run of ‘14. I believe that he was the only qb on our roster that could beat Alabama that year. His size was critical in that game as he was able to plow through bama’s linebackers on crucial 3rd and 4th downs.
Justin Fields was everything that we expected. Beat Clemson in in ‘20 but Alabama was clearly the best team that year.
CJ Stroud was the best passer that I’ve ever seen in Columbus. He was a couple questionable calls and non calls against Georgia from winning a Chip.
I’d compare Will Howard to JT Barret. Can make all the necessary throws and can run in a pinch. - Late round draft pick type. However, for what he’s accomplished over the last month, if he wins the Chip, he’ll be remembered as a legend.
As for the game, I don’t want to discount the Irish, but I can see why the spread is over 8 points. - I knew that Florida would win in ‘06, and I knew that Bama would win in ‘20.
I thought the Bucks had a 50/50 chance against LSU in 07 and against Oregon in ‘14.
This year, I don’t think that ND is as talented as Ohio State. However, the possibility looms that Ohio State can beat themselves.
If I had a million dollars and had to bet, I’d say that Ohio State wins and covers the spread.

I think we are on the same page in that the only way OSU loses is if they beat themselves.

If the officials let our DBs play a physical style, OSU wins running away. If they throw ticky tack flags for hand fighting down the field, it could be a dogfight.

That is a serious factor to consider. OSU's secondary is certainly a physical unit.

great run for the Bucks - really a fun team to watch for me. That's a big time playoff month
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
