“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
While we don't know the exact date, today Christians celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who came to bring peace, hope, joy and love into this world, and who, despite being God made flesh, was willing to sacrifice Himself to save us from our sins. He is the greatest gift ever given, and I pray that everyone, believer or not, experiences the power and blessing this day brings.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
Merry Christmas Dawgtalkers family. Ours has gotten smaller over the years. But I remember how lucky I was as a kid back in the 80’s. Going to my grandparents home in downtown Cleveland on Christmas eve, those Europeans knew how to make a home feel like Christmas. Red and green decor, dim lights, classic Christmas music on the same worn out vinyl. Trays of cookies, nut platters, and chocolates on grandma’s buffet. All of the cousins and aunts and uncles together. Eating a feast, singing Christmas songs, and then opening gifts. Special times.
I try to create the same atmosphere here for my family, but can’t come close to what grams and gramps used to do for us.
