So OpenAI has achieved AGI, unofficially. This means their newest 03 model is able to outperform most humans on tasks. By late 25, it will be far smarter than any human, and will be working on getting to Artificial Super Intelligence. Check these:
This still has to go through safety protocols before release, but at current speeds of delivery will be here on a few months and will be better than the raw versions.
The OpenAI CFO says it’s time to start replacing people:
And the robots will be rolling out en masse in 25. This was the missing key. It’s on:
Robots Update:
1 year ago Amazon went deep. They’ll be leading the way to replace factory employees as they dropped a billion into this company.
The replacement of workers was a heavy topic for that hot minute then it fell off the radar. The media should be screaming this at people.
And this is coming starting in 25, and full blown automation revolution by mid 26 to early 27.
2024 LATEST:
I know y’all laugh at me about this, but you won’t be much longer. I’m a little worried about this happening on Trump’s watch with Elon pulling the strings…
But I’m more concerned what already struggling people will have to do to survive this shift. We didn’t raise the last few generations to be strong in running their own small businesses. We built factory workers, useless degrees, and clock punchers for 40 years. Hell, the most recent young people entering the work force can barely make change without a computer telling them the amount. People are going to need business skills, innovation skills, resources to take action, and the will to transition to a people driven small business economy, fast. As corporations cut jobs to drive higher profits, braindead workers are going first. Robots can do any factory, production, product management, warehousing, and even heading toward automated shipping and delivery.
AI agents are already replacing receptionists, order-takers, customer service, booking agents, accountants, human resources, paralegals, on and on. The latest Multimodal models from OpenAI and Google are phd level smart in many 100s of fields. They can now see your screen and talk to you in real-time out of the box. With a little code, they can operate your device, run any software or code/api tools. I see nothing to stop the automation killing of jobs. Like almost all jobs for the bottom 60% of the country will disappear over that time frame of 2-3 years starting next year. And high end jobs will follow shortly after. These things pass the bar for lawyers, are already assisting doctors in diagnosis and soon surgeries. They are also discovering cures and medicines. Making break throughs in genetics research, etc.
When you combine AGI-ASI level intelligence into these robots/androids of many types, and agentic systems for reasoning, problem solving, and long term memory for self improvement… in less than a few years they will completely change the way things are done. 2030 is going to look more like a scifi flick than reality today.
It’s coming, the world is entirely unprepared, prove me wrong.
EDIT: Apologies for the click baity thumbnails, but the content is reliable even if the tubers are a little over-zealous. I follow this generative AI niche with a microscope. Official AGI is not here yet, but unofficially it is. Microsoft will lose out if they announce it officially, so I don’t anticipate that before they can 100% no longer deny it.
And if it’s true that Biden wanted to limit this tech to 2-3 companies, screw that! We would never be able to compete on any level with those who could afford it. Smh.
The world will adjust. There will be K-12 classes that give kids an intro to AI and how to use it to make life better. Then there will be more advanced classes in college. I'm excited to see where it goes. I use AI all the time for my business. I use it to write code, solve problems, brainstorm ideas for events and game content. It's like having a free helper that has all the knowledge in the universe. I literally made it code animated mini-games for me. (Which only work because I can correct it's bugs and logic issues) I am all for AI because it makes life so much easier. Will it take the place of the real life people who actually work for me? Nope, I still need them. They do work that AI can not. The future is bright.
It's not that AI isn't a wonderful advancement in the tech world because it is. It's that it can also be used for very nefarious things and nobody seems to be willing to police it......
AI is a wonderful tool for many to use. It's also a terrible weapon and tool others can use for very nefarious purposes. A warning sign should be attached to it.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
No different than a gun in that regard. It can be used in good or nefarious ways. Do you own guns?
Or are you one of those that think AI will kill everything? Because those folks exist too.
Well you’d be surprised to know that most gen AI developers deal with the same mental struggle. AI can be used like a tool or abused as a tool. It can also be unreliable when used improperly. It can hallucinate answers like a child making up facts to fit their story. But, when used properly, it can also solve great problems for us that normal human research would take decades to discover, if ever. And it can already give an average joe super powers when building an online business, or assist them at becoming faster or more accurate in their work flows.
It’s a scary proposition what people like PUTUN will do with AI and all the more reason America should lead in AI, to defend from such threats because this genie is out of the bottle now for sure. And knowing Elon has close ties to Putin makes me WAY more nervous than Trump’s love letters to Kim Jong Un… imagine what he would do with the tech we sent to Ukraine if he had it. Mini Drones that can take out tanks and artillery? Imagine a million of those being flown by AI used to attack a country. That’s a possible if not likely future use that we need to be prepared for. On the end civilization scale tech, AI is up there with nukes, IMO. It is undoubtedly the future that is coming, how it’s shaped depends on us.
It has now become an arms race of sorts, like nukes too.
Before the last 60 days or so, the AI models were good but not great for app development. But these new multi modal deep thinking models from Google and OpenAI are game changers. They will replace humans in jobs with relative ease, now. Especially ANY desk job in front of a computer that does not rely on a high level of critical thinking. AI has human like voice synthesis, vision, and hearing capabilities. These make it optimal to replace low level jobs now. 2K a month can replace multiple customer service reps with custom AI solutions. That’s OpenAI’s latest offering. Available now. How long until the corps are all over that?
If you ask me, the country needs to treat AI like the arms race that it is. We need a “Manhattan Project” for AI, asap. And with China advancing tit for tat in AI right now openly, imagine what that arms race would look like if we weren’t sharing the base tech in an open source manner. We would have no idea what they have or don’t have in a matter of months.
Every piece of AI tech so far, is now obsolete. That’s how impressive the latest models are. And the next generation of those is already in the oven. I don’t think this is a good time to be debating the morals of AI… that time has long passed. Now it’s an arms race across the board. And not just in weaponry. Computational tech advancements, innovation, healthcare, automation, employee productivity, education, energy, science, etc. are all fields where AI can already have great impact. Everything else in our lives will soon follow.
