I saw "RIP Legend" trending on X. That truly says it all.

Every time you watched the A's you could expect something amazing from Rickey, and were usually obliged.

I'll let X do the talking...

Geeze I just saw that.

Damn what a ball player Rickey was. Exciting to the max.

Nobody will match him as a leadoff hitter. That will never happen. He was one of a kind a true unicorn.

I loved watching him play.

I get nostalgic about baseball. The game has always been special to me.

And Rickey was one of the best to ever lace up cleats.

RIP Rickey steal heaven and keep going.

He was absolutely amazing; the very definition of a legend.

RIP Ricky.

GOAT base stealer, might still hold the record for homers when leading off a game. I didn’t know he was a cool dude though.

Fun fact: he was on a team bus a few years after the Blue Jays won the WS in 1993. They were playing Do You Know? when someone asked who was on base when Joe Oliver hit the WS winning homer against the Phillies in 1993?
No one spoke up but Henderson. He knew because he was on base with Paul Molitor.

He’s up there with the all-time greats.
