At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

Wills won't play again here
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I’d make him play as soon as he was cleared. Why should he get off easy for the rest of the season?

After this season you have to move on from Wills.
He has not improved at all after five years. In fact he has regressed because he has learned how to get by.
He is a below average player with a poor work habit.

What does moving on mean on cap? I thought there was a large hit for him, but I may misremember.

I agree Bone that Wills should be gone after this season but since we have him and we have all these injuries on the OL then he should play when medically cleared. Another wasted #1 pick. Heck we could have drafted a guy in the 4th round that could have played better!

Sadly, I have little interest in watching the Browns play.
I tune in expecting to tune out by halftime.
This season has been such a disappointment. You win eleven games with four qb's. You got into the season thinking "hell just give me average play at quarterback."
Here we are 2-8 playing lousy football.
The worst part is I cannot even see a light at the end of this tunnel. I don't know if the head coach and GM remain.
Don't know who will play quarterback next year. Don't know who will run the ball or catch it. Don't know what the OL will look like or, the DL.
Hell we might be worse next year. Sad to even think about it.

I think there is a positive spin to all of this. They have room to get a lot better in many ways while at the same time they can't get a lot worse. There's more room above them than below them. Did that help?
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

It’s hard to believe that this team has deteriorated so quickly after the season we had last year. All because of bad QB play or is it more? The DW deal has set us back about 3 years IMO. If we don’t make the right moves before next season we will probably be just as bad as now. I don’t see things getting better anytime soon and Pittsburgh and Baltimore will continue to have good teams and be in contention. If someone was purposely trying to sabotage this team they couldn’t have done a better job than the people who are running things now.

What does moving on mean on cap? I thought there was a large hit for him, but I may misremember. Wills will have a dead cap hit of $11.8M in 2025 and $8.7M in 2026.

I wish.
Interesting, I was just listening to Dan Patrick interview John Elway on the topic of young quarterbacks coming into the league.
He said it is really important to go to the right place where they have a good qb coach, OC, and head coach who will have patience and pace his experience.
He said that when he was drafted and then put in as a starter. He got benched at halftime two games in a row and then watched for four games. He said that was the best thing that happened in his learning process. Watching from the sideline and not being in the frying pan.
Then I thought about where we are and I got sick.
