Chinese Taipei vs Lake Mary, Florida.
Just tuned in. I love LLWS. Always amazed at how good 12 year old kids can play baseball.
I played in Little League and coached. What a blast. I played in Harrisburg, Pa. And coached in Cobb County Ga.
It always cracked me that some kids could weigh 160 LB's and another 75 LB's.
I loved how hard the kids competed like nothing mattered except baseball.
The way it worked out my son was really good at twelve. Excellent pitcher and could play any position. He was an all star since he was five.
At twelve he was playing damn near 100 games a year. Loads of fun and memories. Watching the drama at LLWS is something else.
What a fantastic experience for all involved.

Walk off bunt to win.
Just a great game. I love the passion of the young boys.
At twelve nothing else matters but baseball. No girlfriends, no cars, no money just baseball.

Didn't catch any of it this year.
A good number of years ago - 15 or so - we enjoyed, no, LOVED watching our nephew and his team in the Jr. League. That's for the ages above little league. I think top age was 15, not certain. His team made it to the Jr. League World Series held in a suburb of Detroit.
Well, just found the program. 2009 was the year, held in Taylor, MI. Had a great time following his team, from the midwest tournament which obviously they won, to the World Series, which they didn't win. Kids were a little older, but the experience for the players, and the fans, was exactly what you described.

I coached ages 5-16.
My favorite age was 9-12. Still kids but good. Before adolescence and all that brings.
The game is so pure during that time. The kids give it their all. You have to pry them off the baseball field.
Great fun.
