I'm surprised nobody posted anything about marijuana sales in Ohio

That's because OH is corrupt and overpriced and we all still go to Xichigan.

How is this rolling out again? Like 10% of the Med Shops with lines spiraling through the parking lots?

I'll puff, puff, pass.

I bought a months supply Saturday so I don't have to fight the crowds.

Dawg- My MI connex is 25 minutes away. Round trip takes 1.25 hour- tops. I take along my dog, Miss KoKo. She loves the 'Daddy & Me' time... and she always gets a biscuit when Dad gets his mad-efficient curb service. It's slick, efficient... and zero-stress. 4-lane, 85% of the way. Cue up a long-form podcast, and it almost always concludes just as I'm pulling into the neighborhood. An OCDer's definition of perfection. thumbsup

It's one of the most pleasurable chores I do on that regular.

P.S. My Main Boy lives near Dayton. Ex-military, he's used to early rising. Brother makes a half-day of it. Drives 3 hours north, bulks up on provisions, calls me from the parking lot, and meets me for lunch. Home by 3PM. He says the miles are worth it. His Mecca is the equivalent of those Outlet Malls, made famous in the 90's. When I asked him when he'll go local, he said: "When OH gets its s# together. That won't be anytime soon."

Leave it to Ohio to finally say 'yes' to a good thing... and immediately find a way to junk it up.

One hour/fifteen minutes. Done. And fun.
I'm in no hurry to change or adapt.

Y’all need to get your green thumb going. It’s not hard to grow. I’ve been doing it for years. I haven’t bought flower since home growing was made legal in Oregon. Every summer I turn over enough to keep me rolling fat joints all year. I’m allowed four mature ladies in my garden. I pick four different strains so I have variety throughout the year. My other buddies that grow do the same. We then swap with each other so we all have an even bigger variety for the year. Plus growing different strains each year is cool as each plant’s flowers look different. Mature differently. Each is unique. It’s pretty cool to watch. Some do better than others. I make notes and repeat the good strains occasionally. Growing above the 45th parallel has its challenges. It’s a short season up here.
Properly cured and stored it holds well from harvest to harvest. Even after being very generous through the year with friends I still out produce my needs. I often have large amounts to compost when the new harvest comes ready.
It’s a skill worth honing.
This year I have Ice Cream Cake, Glorilla Glue #4, Memory Loss, and Yuck Mouth maturing out in my garden.
Plant a clone next spring. Give it a go. If you have questions I’m an open book with a long history of skills I’m open to sharing in both hydroponic and soil cultivation.

Up here in Canada, weed has been legal since 2018. Thanks Justin Trudeau, that was your greatest decision while in office which won’t be for much longer!

It’s sold in government-controlled liquor stores, or on Native reserves (what you call reservations down there).

The prices are fair and the quality is consistent. I could buy marijuana cheaper on line - much cheaper - but I don’t like screwing around with on-line purchases. For the amount I consume - a gram or three or four a week - it doesn’t really matter.

Are those facilities run similar to the old Brewer's Retail Outlets I always hit when I visited your fine country?

Some provinces are different. On the east coast, governments have liquor stores, but there are specialty brewers where you can go and buy their products. You can’t buy beer or alcohol at a corner store in Nova Scotia - although a few stores in VERY rural locations are allowed to - but you can in other provinces.

Ohio dispensaries ONLY tripled prices in the last few months in anticipation of public sales making street weed much cheaper.

Halves went from 60-80 to 240 around here. And we have at least a half dozen dispensaries nearby.

That sounds about right. Make it legal and then turn around and make it cost prohibitive to purchase it legally.

That's Ohio.

Meanwhile, OZ cost in Michigan $80-100 everywhere you go.

I heard that there are quite a few places off the Laplaisance Rd exit competing with each other, keeping the prices down.

Oregon has some of the least expensive cannabis in the country. We way overproduce. Short of the ‘emerald triangle’ in Northern California, Southwestern Oregon has some of the best conditions in the country for outdoor grows. Warm dry summers with a lot of sunshine.
