The Texans figured it out in one year.

So did the Browns with Baker.

Until they didn’t.

Hot take… Stroud will struggle this year. NFL has a way of catching up with young players once the tape comes out. Houston has a very Cleveland Browns with Baker in his 2nd year feel to it.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

The only question i have for you is this. What are the weaknesses in Stroud's game you have seen thus far? A QB has to have weaknesses to exploit in order for teams to exploit them. The Texans have even given him better targets this season. Just saying "the tape" isn't an answer for what the tape actually says.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Do they though? I think really good QBs are just really good QBs. Especially, when they are surrounded by good coaching. Bobby Slowik is a good coach

It's the average to below average QBs that might fool teams for a year.

Lamar Jackson
Patrick Mahomes
Jalen Hurts
Josh Allen
Joe Burrow
Justin Herbert
Trevor Larence

all improved or excelled in their second season in the NFL.

I hope you are right. You know it has been a long time since Ohio State has provided a reliable starting NFL quarterback. There is a long history of successful first-year QBs who struggled in their second year and never recovered.

Freddie Kitchen and Baker Mayfield were the answer until it was not.

Baker Mayfield was never a C.J. Stround. And never will be.

CJ can read a defense, calm under pressure, and one of his biggest strengths is his accuracy.

I don't see that happening.

Baker was in similar shoes as CJ after his first year.... He was that dude.. until he wasn't.

CJ is killing it. But consistency is key.

Similar shoes? The only place they were in similar shoes was completion percentage. Looking at the td. to int. ratio alone tells you they weren't the same guy as a rookie. That accuracy and ability to read the defense speaks volumes.

Baker made a name for himself very quickly in this league. He had brought the Browns back to the relevancy. You don't get big commercial deals by being an average joe. They were in similar shoes regarding potential of being a franchise QB for years to come.
