I recently went to the Tennesse unclaimed funds site and found out I was owed money. I will be getting a check for $106. Not a huge amount, but hey, it will pay for a nice lunch with my wife.

Just as a public service, linked below is the Ohio site. Check it out, the state may be holding money that is intended for you. This money is usually refunds/rebate from insurance policies you once had, but it could be from any source and to comply, the money was sent to your last state of residence..

Who knows, maybe you have some cash headed your way.

Sorry, link won't copy. Just go to Ohio unclaimed funds. Be sure it is the state gov link. There are sites that will do it for you but take their cut.

Thanks! I just found out I'm owed money by some place I had a car loan thru years ago. All I know is that it's over $100.

I have checked before and nothing showed. When my wife and i were in eastern PA helping her brother 1 1/2 years ago I discovered several items listed for him. Old investment accounts with small balances he wasn't aware of, some insurance funds, and old bank account with $50 or around there also. Plenty of sources for where the funds could originate.

I did a search for NY. It says there is one for me but I need to give my social security number first. I didnt want to do that. Did you need to do that before you saw what you are owed?

I double and triple checked. All NY Gov links went to the same site. It says I will be notified. they wouldnt tell me the amount.

" To protect your privacy and prevent fraud, we can’t tell you the amount of your claim until we receive and confirm your proof of ownership. Once ownership is confirmed, you will receive a letter with the account details and amount of claim. Note that all items that appear online are at least $20 or one share of stock. "

Can you send just your last four digits? Sounds shaky queer.
