Anyone been to Africa?!? Just spent the last hour looking at African webcams! Seriously need to take a trip... my grandparents met in Ghana when they were in the Army... I've always wanted to go visit! Just seems like an amazing continent

I planned a one month vacation to China by perusing the site and chat rooms. Turned out great.

Do it.
I went when I was 16. Flew from Toledo to Cleveland, Cleveland to New York. New York to Germany, Germany to Greece. Greece to Kenya. Spent 10 days in Kenya. Great time. Also got to spend time in Germany and Greece, although not enough.
Do it.

Never been and at this point, probably never will..but it is a small enough world. If that is where you want to go, do it.

Africa ey?
That is a big bite like saying North America.
You would need more than a lifetime. Morocco, Egypt, Senegal, South Africa, Republic of the Congo, Kenya.
That is only North, South, East, West, and Central. There are 54 countries in Africa.
Safari?

I use a couple different apps to help plan my trips. TripAdvisor is a place where real people go to write reviews. I have an account and put in my reviews of the places I’ve stayed, eaten at, etc. Real people, real reviews. I use Hotels.com to look at hotels. They have maps of the cities you’re looking to travel to. By using the app I can put in my price range and see where the hotels I can afford are in proximity to the sights I want to see. I don’t typically book through them though. I’ve found you can often get better deals by calling the hotels directly. Using those two apps in conjunction can really give you a solid plan.

Booking direct is almost always cheaper. Not only that you can make special requests when booking rather than try to do so when checking in. They don't guarantee that when booking, but the notation is made....even room, odd room, upper floor, ground floor, whatever

You ever hear of lonely planet. Great place to plan a trip Thanks - will check it out When I say plan, I dont mean hotels and flights. More of where to go and what to do from people who have been there. I walked a stretch of the great wall that was remote. Was walking the wall for 4 hours, 2 hours by myself. It was great. Would never have known about it without that site.

Somalia in '93. I gave it a terrible Yelp review. Would not recommend. Also, my ship was literally kicked out of Liberia. My mom, however, just went to Tanzania this past autumn and had the time of her life. Kilimanjaro, safaris, etc... she was there for two weeks and loved it. She booked her trip through https://www.roadscholar.org/ and cannot speak highly enough of how well organized and planned the entire trip was. I do want to go back and visit Morocco, Egypt, and perhaps Gabon/Liberia/Ghana and see if I can charter a boat out to 0 degrees N x 0 degrees E to get that Golden Shellback.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

I was just about to post that.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
