Mary Blige I think - No More Drama. We had a nice game against Houston. We were behind a little early, then got ahead, then pounded out the clock. Very nice. No grey hairs. Aside from that we've had coaches calling TO's during field goals, field goals bouncing off uprights and dowrights, a hail mary prayer that was answered but denied by the evil official.... No More Drama! Ya konw, for all of the hoopla and memories, the Kardiac Kids didn't accomplish much in their day...except dwindle the older fan base with heart attacks. How do we get to No More Drama? Well, we probably still need more guys. JL is a big strong back, but he's no Jerome Harrison. But JH is not a blocker like Jason Wright. So, we still need a back that is all 3...or at least a change of pace back built like a combination of JW & JH. Is the OL strong enough yet? Do we need more help there to produce a running game? Or do we need the JW&JH combo with speed? We've got to get better on D. The DL, inside and an outside backer, the corners have got to improve or be improved on. We need someone to replace Denis Northcutt (apparently, since 'what's his name...#81 is non existant). Carter does not seem to be the answer there. Let's see....what did I leave out? hmmm, there must be something. ok, I'll go there. The QB. I've got this feeling that we've got 2 QB's that if we could blend them together into one we'd have the perfect QB. AND we don't even know that for sure because we haven't seen BQ in anything but preseason action/speed/pressure/personnel. If anyone ventures to the main board (team's board) you'll see that I have a thread going there (I don't go there often...36 or so posts in the time frame since their upgrade)...but it's titled "Our QB Ranks..." 29th in the league in completion percentage. This is where DA hurts us. He can go on binges in both directions (completions or incompletions). Every QB is going to make some bad decisions and a bad throw occasionally. Just like even the best RB's will get the ball stripped once in a while. But it's consistancy that separates the good from the mediocre (and the bad). We've got to get (and stay) more consistant. And that may mean changing some people (players) which takes years. The Kardiac Kids were exciting...but not consistant, thus not truely successful. We've got to get to the point of No More Drama!

Football games without drama would be boring, and people will eventually lose interest.
You watch football for the drama. If you knew that you were going to win every game, then whats the point in watching.

Wow. So, you wouldn't want the Browns to be as good as the Patriots? They've had a little drama lately.....but that's just about all we get. I don't know about you, but I enjoyed the heck out of our Houston win.

Is that not the goal? To win every single game?

I agree, when the Browns win the Superbowl I want it to be a season like this where its been super exciting and they get in as a wild card or win the division in the last exciting game of the season. It would not be enjoyable to have a season like the pats where they blow out each team week in and week out.
Most pats fans I know, I go to school in Vermont, stop watching at halftime cuz its out of hand. It gets boring if the games aren't close. What is the point of watching if the you know the game is over. Now I enjoy a good slapping around of a team once in a while but not every week.
When you look back at the season you will remember those crazy games. Sure it gives you grey hairs now but if we blew each team out you would look black and it would all blend together.
Pitt, a blowout, thinking oh boy here we go again, bye bye Charlie, hello DA Cinci you will remember as the shootout where Leon became Braylon Edwards. Oakland, that pesky timeout crap with the blocked field goal. Miami and St Louis bad teams that fought us hard and made us work for wins. Seattle, a 15 point come back and OT win with those 4th down stuffs. Pitt, Josh Cribbs going nuts with a heartbreak ending. Baltimore, the pinball fieldgoal Arizona, mistakes and more mistakes, then a hailmary hose
Thats the exciting stuff, its why I watch and why I love my Browns. Sure they break my heart once in a while, but it is like that abusive boyfriend that you always go back to. No matter what they do you can't stay away.
This has been a roller coaster season and no matter how it ends I will remember it for a long time and say that I enjoyed the ride.

For me, the playoffs are always dramatic... even in those (many, many) years when the Browns' players have been couchside with me.
Playoffs? -That's more than enough drama for me... no matter what our chances would be.
I'd love to see this team tighten up their game, and play out the remaining 4 games like they did against Houston. That would make me feel great about the Browns' postseason chances.
Gee... do you really think that the Browns (???) having the hot hand going into the playoffs is NOT enough drama?
I'll take 4 consecutive slam-dunks any day, thank you...

Win or lose, close game or blowout, I watch every Browns game down to the last play because I am a Browns FAN. A true fan doesn't turn the game off at halftime because of the score. Believe me, I'd love it if the Browns could win every game 51-0. After so many years of close calls (the drive, the fumble, etc.), I'm ready for total Browns domination.

I here ya CB. The Pats fans that come over my house to watch the games with my son never leave early. They're eating this season up and having a hell-of-a good time watching it.

As odd as it sounds...no.
I watch the NFL every Sunday with a die-hard Pats fan...up until the last two weeks they have been very BORING to watch. No one wants to get killed every game, but I think killing everyone every game can get just as tedious.

THERE IS ABS1OLUTELY NO QUESTION, I will likely die watching a Browns game (actually I have told the wife this quite a few times), and the truth be told I wouldn't want it any other way. I'll take the Kardiac Kids any day or at any time. I loved them then and I love the new version as well. If we can't win the SB then exciting games and plenty of drama will do, hell man its the reason I watch, if it where easy to win it wouldn't be any fun.
No I'll Take it, and hopefully the wife won't waste any time dialing 911, and if I should go watching I sure as hell hope we WIN...

After so many years of bad teams, that could not move the ball, and teams that would play conservative to win, it is refreshing to watch the Browns this year.
This is a real step, before we were cursing the outcome before halftime, now you don't leave until it is really, really over.
Hopefully next year the Browns are a better, and games are more in hand, but this year has been great.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!

Well, these so-called fans of the Patriots must not be real fans because you NEVER turn the game off at halftime. If I had to do that with the Browns, it would kill me.
You're right there are the moments that I will always remember from the different games. Like when I cursed and walked away from the Baltimore game when the clock ran out and I thought we missed. But then my friend called me back and said they were reviewing the play. Those moments are the special ones, that's for sure. And that was where you felt that the Browns were destined to win that game.
Exciting games do keep you coming back for more, that is correct. But as Clemdawg said, I would take 4 consecutive blowouts any day of the week,JMO:p
Find what you love and let it kill you.

When's the last time we blew a team out? It'd be nice if we were on the good side of a blow out for a change.

Didn't Kelly Holcomb beat Arizona like 41-6 or something like that? and then we beat Miami 31-0 (or close to it)? I also remember a shutout against Cinci recently...5 years ago or so.

could very well be....just seems to me that we dominated quite a few games then....i could be way off though.... i thought most of holcombs games were shootouts... don't remember us shuting anyone out...but my memory sucks seems the most prevalant memory for me is the other team getting the ball back cause we couldn't run out the clock....driving down the field on our soft d coverage, and scoring the game winning points... sunday night game with couch at pitt was nice though
