My girlfriends father is going into surgery tomorrow morning at 7 to have a double bypass. Today when he went in for a minor procedure the doctor determined that the operation was necessary. I am pretty shaken up by this, being 3 hours away and not being able to be there tomorrow. He is really like my 2nd father, and someday he will be, so i am requesting that everyone please pray for him. His name is Dan, and i truly appreciate any and all the prayers.

Well bipass surgery is pretty common now adays. So he should be alright. My grandpa had quadruple bi-pass surgery actually.
But my prayers have been sent up.

Prayers for Dan, his family and yourself.
I had quadruple bypass in Feb of 2006. Took a stress test, went straight to the hospital, had the surgery the next morning, came home four days later. I've never felt better in the past 10 years. He'll be fine.

Thanks everyone for the prayers...i just got an update
the surgery went as planned and he is doing well in recovery
i'm going to see him tomorrow so there will be another update sometime over the weekend
