Halloween is over and it's time to hit the sack...

I always loved it as a kid....but I like it just as much now.
I hand out the candy. I get to interact with the kids. It's such fun.
Hi Princess. How are you? Oooh, you're a scarey pirate. Some, I don't know what they are.

They're there with their mommy or daddy standing back 15ft or so. 'Say thank you now.' says the mom. And I always thank them for coming...because I do so enjoy seeing their little faces beaming and hearing their little voices 'Trick or Treat'. Of course some are so nervous they can't even say anything.....but I'm not, so I tell 'em how good they look and how scared I was.

The bell rings again, it's the girl from down the street with her little sisters...and her mommy. Dear God, why does she have to be mentally retarted? She's such a cute girl. I could give her all the candy I have left, but it won't make her better. Oh well, at least she's out and having some fun.

I still love Halloween.

I realized tonight that for college girls...............there is really only one costume............but there are literally hundreds of variations of it.

Scantily clad nurse

Scantily clad cop

Scantily clad cat burgular

Scantily clad bumble bee

Scantily clad what-have-you

Scantily clad what-not

Chicks are so unoriginal, but I don't really mind.

and to think, the last Halloween party I went to with my girlfriend, she was dressed as a mummy.
Now she's mommy to my children.

Walking by the candy pumpkin this morning I see that I still have some Kit-Kats and Ressees.

We went to a friend of ours neighborhood here in Willoughby and we had a blast with the girls. The oldest was Dora and the youngest was tigger I carried Tigger all night which killed my back and I was amazed at how good the 3 year old did. She did ask a few people "More, can I have more treats" a few times, lol.

Both my kids are allergic to milk and with that chocolate, so I scored a ton of candy to eat hehe. Ali was pooped by the end of the night but the fresh air I think energized both of them b/c both were up well past 12 talking and singing in the rooms

Was in Vegas this past weekend, Sat night was pretty awesome with about 2/3 of the people in costume (some barely wearing anything) at the Tao nightclub in the Venetian. Put it this way, we're going back next year (Halloween is on a Friday night next year).

Last night was a bit disappointing though. I had a whopping total of 14 kids come to my door. I still have 2 bags of kit kats, 1 1/2 of reese cups and a handful of baby ruths left over. Most of the 14 were teenagers too, aren't parents taking the youngins out any more?

I know my brother is like that too. He has a son and he ditches him to my mom any chance he gets. Like if she is watching him and he gets off at 2:00 he will go home and relax till 5 or 6 and then pick him up.
Me, I just love being a father and I try to be hands on any chance I get. There are some times I am just so busy where I can't and I feel guilty, but I learned from my father who was never around not to do that to them. I want them to know that I will always be there for them. There are some days when both of them make me wanna scream but that comes with the territory

My friends comment to me all the time that they can tell my 3 year old is mine. I have a CD of OSU music and she loves it and can sing "We don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan" hehe.
We have been talking about going for 3 b/c I really want a son, but I am not too crazy about that idea right now. When I am done with school and we have a house, maybe.

Here is my little guy before going out last night as Verne the turtle from Over the Hedge...he still isn't into it as much as I expected. He spent half the time handing out candy at my house

We were out in our neighborhood in Wake Forest, NC last night and one of my sons friends went up to the door and the lady said, "A Steelers pillow case? I just want you to know, I'll give you candy, but only because I have to." (then she chuckled)... So my 3 year old princess (she really was dressed as a princess... ) goes up and instead of saying "Trick or treat" she yells, "Happy Halloween, GO BROWNS!!" and the lady says, "Go Browns indeed, here is some extra for you."

Gave up on that, couldn't find a frog. By the time we got to the store, she wanted to be everything she saw, from a horse to a skeleton to Batman... finally settled on the princess.

Cute picture Lee, looks like your children enjoyed themselves... It was a pleasure meeting you this last summer.

Eh, I'm not that high on Halloween, I'm excited for Thanksgiving more than anything else. Turkey, mashed potatoes, yummy.

I hear that. What's better than Thanksgiving. Being with family, eating great food, AND WATCH FOOTBALL all day.

I enjoyed reading the stories and seeing the pics in this thread.

Here's a pic of my two when they were trick or treat age.
They're 20 and 21 now.
