After I sold some Hannah Montana tix on ebay for 620 bucks i decided to get me a ps3 finally. My question is should i get the 80 gig with the game or the 60 g one without the game for a hundred dollars less. a few friends said a few months back they are gonna wait a little while before they get theirs so that the "bugs are worked out". what ever that means. so should i get the 60g or the 80g one. is the game and 20 extra gig worth the 100 bucks. I'm not a HUGE gamer so the extra 20g is not that big of a deal to me. So is there a difference in the 60 and 80 besides the hard drive? thanks for any input. and thanks rich housewives allover bidding on my tix lol.

Get the 60gb and save your money...

20gb difference isn't really that big of a deal, and I'm pretty sure you can hook up another harddrive VIA USB, but I'm not sure.

You can easily replace the hard drive yourself. I did, and I'm not some techie who builds computers and knows about that stuff. It was super, super easy. $60 for a 120gig HD from newegg.com. If you want Motorstorm, then go with the 80. That's plenty of space. Otherwise then just get the 60.

1. What the heck is Hannah Montana?

2. Why are the tickets worth $600+

3. grats.

We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

The 60GB is a must if you want to play PS2 games. The Backwards Compatability on the 60GB is run through an Emotion Engine chip that will run 98% of the PS1/2 titles with all major titles being able to run.

The 80GB version got rid of the EE chip and instead is using software emulation to play PS1/2 games and it runs about 45% of the titles and a lot of major titles (FFXI, MGS2, RE 1&2) that will not run.

You can replace your hard drive yourself. You just need a 2.5" laptop HDD that has 8mb Cache and 5400rmp. That and about 3min of your time to swap the HDD's. Sony made an expansion slot to be able to get to the HDD.

Motorstorm is an OK game...I'm not a huge racing fan so take that for what it's worth.

I'm assuming those are the minimum specs for cache & spindle rate.... any idea if you need SATA or EIDE?

I just found a Hitachi (good drives) 100GB 7200rpm EIDE drive on pricewatch.com for $112.

Browns is the Browns

From what I've heard 7200rpm creates too much heat and can possibly damage the system. And it needs to be SATA with 8mb cache.

That is correct sir.

As far as Motorstorm goes, I do enjoy racing games. I followed the game prior to it's release and had high expectations. It's a fun game, but I was a little disappointed. I was hoping they would have had more tracks than they did and more types of races instead of just the one. They have added expansion packs online since, though. But the game itself is fun to play, and the graphics are pretty sweet looking with the desert mountains, etc in the background.

Personally, I'm holding out for GT 5. The graphics are about as real as it gets, the cars are all real as well. That will be the next racing game that I get. They'll be releasing the GT5 Prologue for free online in the winter, which is basically a sort of "teaser" that we'll be able to download for free online until the real game comes out. Check it out online if you like those games. The games looks gorgeous.

Hannah Montana is Billy ray Cyrus' daughter, she has a show on disney that she sings on. I buy and sell tickets on ebay. They are the hottest ticket right now. Van Halen and the police dont have anything on hannah's resell value. I had to join her fanclub for 30 bucks to get a presale code to get 4 tickets. I sold the first set for $620!!! The second set for $570!! they sell out before the general public date. so rich stay at home moms spend outragous prices for they spoiled little daughter. I used to get mad that i couldnt get good seats to concerts because sclapers got them all and are charging a fortune for them. So if ya cant beat them join them. I kind of felt bad when i read in the paper how moms are upset they cant get tix. But i got over that REAL quick. I made enough to get the ps3 AND pay my reinstatement fee to get my licence back!! Hannah ROCKS lol!
