"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
I'd forgotten about "LA Confidential" and "Seven". Those are really good ones.
I don't consider 7 a buddy cop.
That's more of just a thriller/mystery/suspense. Buddy cops are more comedy/action in my opinion. a Movie that dark shouldn't have the word buddy associated with it lol.
For me, Rush Hour is #1 and it isn't even close. Jackie Chan is a martial arts/comedy legend. Chris Tucker is hysterical in those movies, and the chemistry between the two is perfect.
I never seen colors, I would include Police Academy because buddy cop movies are a cop and his partner, whilst that is about an entire group of officers.

Yeah, I love Rush Hour, I would actually put them at 4 on my list and move them above MIB.
It's already been mentioned, but 48 Hours in a fave of mine in the genre.
I'd go with Lethal Weapon overall... I thought the second was better than the first and after that, I didn't care. I can't even remember if they even made a lethal weapon 3.

WHAT?! Lethal Weapon 3 and 4 were the funniest of the franchise! Joe Pesci was absolutely phenomenal in those two.
I just saw this topic on a podcast ... but they did TV shows. Andy and Barney made their #1
