Agree with it or not, I doubt it rises to the level of treason.
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

No,No, No!!!
We need to keep these leftists in the forefront of everyday news. We need them to remind the rest of the American public what happens when a mother drinks and smokes during your pregnancy. You get a growth challenged child who never develops mentally or as a clear thinking rational human.
This man is not responsible for his beliefs as he has numerous physical and intellectual disadvantages which cause his deep seated anger against all things generally accepted as Western American culture.

He touts himself as a 'presidential candidate'. Good for Dennis to model what he wants to see. He's too optimistic, but most everything says is true. I'm glad he's out there trying to show the world that there's still good, rational Americans around.

Please allow me to answer that: No, he was talking about a presidential wanna be that apparently is campaigning in Syria. Now, that's all well and good, IF you're running for pres. IN Syria, however, whatever votes he may have gained from the Syrians really won't help him here, where he supposedly is running. However, being a liberal, he might not understand that just yet.

Syria is? Have any proof of those allegations? Or just more ramblings and suppositions like Iraq having tons of WMD's and a nuclear weapons program? That's what I thought. No Russia just had enough nuclear weapons pointed at us to destroy this nation five times over and KGB agents crawling all over our country. No big deal. You really need to get a grip buddy.

The same right as you do.
Freedom of speech.
And at least maybe somebody needs to give them the message that a new president won't be engaging in "pre-emptive war" against Muslim nations. Because they won't. This quagmire shows a perfect example of why we should shut our pie holes without PROOF that a country has WMD or a nuclear program.
Bush has made us look like fools and you wish to point the finger elsewhare?
Priceless.

Interesting. Thanks for the history lesson.
Here's one for you: Kucinich is a backburner candidate HERE, where he's running for president. Reagan WAS the PRESIDENT when he did the whole thing with the Russians. Can you see the similarities? You can't? Well, good, because there ARE NONE!
See, if a guy wants to get elected president of a certain country, do you honestly think it benefits him to campaign in a DIFFERENT country?
What Reagan did was good - but, you see, he had some credibiltity going in, as he was the PRESIDENT!
When you get right down to it, your example isn't worth much more than the paper it was written - and it wasn't written on paper! That should tell you something.

He's not "campaigning" over there! That's the goofiest thing I've heard in a while! He's actually letting them know "Not to be afraid. They are not going to be on an "axis of evil hit list" once Bush is gone." And it's about time someone, anyone, spread a little democracy instead of the fear and hatred Bush has spread around the globe. Get America back to where it should be. Democracy first, war as a last resort. That's what America has always been about. And no one single John Wayne wannabe will change that over the course of this nations history. Just a short, eight year black eye on us. But we'll recover. The end is near!

Syrians supported by their government? That's like saying if we have mercanaries fighting in some foreign war,the country should bomb America because "some" of the people fighting "happen to be" from America.
The Syrian government has not been tied directly to ANY involvement in Iraq.

That dude is off his nut. How does Cleveland keep electing this guy? Then again Cuyahoga County has the highest taxes in the state and is one of the most economically challenged areas in the state.
Im from Youngstown (highest city income tax, also economically challenged), who sent Jim Traficant to Congress year after year. He MIGHT have been crooked, but atleast he made sense.
In the end the guy can go talk to Syrian television. He is a non-entity politically and has no chance to be elected president. What he is though, is a perfect example of what has happened to the Democrat Party and the new Left in America. This isnt France, Canada, or the UK. Americans still hate an over reaching government. This is my only hope that in 2008 we wont elect anymore pinko Dems. What theyve done over the past year is shown us all just how far out there they really are.
How else can you explain approval ratings lower than Bush (who might be one of the worst presidents on domestic issues in our history)?
Kucinich is a wee little tool.

Short man syndrome and a remarkable ability to believe that our enemies who fund and train troops to kill our military personnel are simply freedom fighters. Actually false freedom fighters in another nation not invited by the existing gov't.
I reinterate having Dennis K. around to remind us of the foolishness of socialism by liberalism is a valuable teaching instrument for anyone interested in knowing why the European nations will soon give up their sovereignty. England,France,Germany,Denmark are tipping and soon will be indistinguishable...other than by accent of language and perspiration odor in France.
The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of 'liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, .

Please provide a link showing the "Syrian government" does this.
You guys toss a lot of accusations around, but other than some on this board and the Bush administration,I don't hear anyone saying it.
Nor have I seen any evidence to support. Maybe for once one of you could provide some?

I was thinking more along the lines that there are people in American government who don't terrorize innocent people in order to incite fear, or feel that they are above the rest of the world, who must live with their casual yet life-affecting decisions...perhaps show them that it's not destructive morons vs. destructive morons.
It would've been nicer if it was someone other than Kucinich...

Ah, I see. As the 6th in line to win his parties primary, he is qualified to go over seas and "diplomacize" with a reporter - yes, yes, I follow your thinking there.
Quote:

What in God's name are you talking about? How was he "spreading" democracy? Pit, take a step back, think for just a minute. Okay, now, was was Kucinich "spreading democracy"? Nevermind. There is no answer to that question, other than "he wasn't. He was talking out of his rear end in order to get votes, but the problem was, he forgot he was in Syria, and they don't vote for U.S. Presidents".
 Quote:
Get America back to where it should be.
And, speaking like that, while in Syria, will get America "back to where it should be" how?
Bottom line pit, the guy was in Syria, the guy running for president of the u.s., and he's saying what he THINKS the Syrians, and the whole middle east actually, wants to hear. He WAS campaigining, whether you want to admit it or not. And here's the big laugher - the guy claims to be running for president.

Been sort of a lost art lately so I thoiught a little refresher course might be in order.
Speaking of refresher courses..... back around the first of August, Syria agreed to go to a multi-national peace conference to discuss the whole middle east region... it was at the request of the United States (namely the Bush administration) and Israel.... The conference is slated for the fall... so Kucinich is just a little bit behind in his attempt to discuss peace with Syria... In fact it almost appears that he's grandstanding in hopes of taking some credit for what was going to happen anyway...
Then there is this little diddy...
Quote:
"The peace process should be resumed without the preconditions laid down by the US and Israel," the foreign minister said,
That would be the Syrian foreign minister... and do you know what those preconditions were that they refused to accept prior to negotiating peace? The preconditions were that they stop arming and funding terrorists.... so why would they not accept the condition if they were not guilty of it in the first place? You asked for proof, how about the word of the Syrian foreign minister?....
Need more on Syria? How about this... Quote:
In related news, a recent poll revealed that 75 percent of Syrians support the continued assistance to terrorist groups like Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah, who have carried out numerous terror attacks against Israel.
The group that did the poll is called Terror Free Tomorrow... and before you blast it... John McCain is on the groups advisory board... as is Thomas Foley, former Democrat from Washington state....
Sorry to interrupt.... Continue with what you were saying....

Well, that's gonna be hard for some to do, what with the facts you laid out. However, don't be alarmed. I'm sure we'll hear more from some people on this subject, and one of 2 things will happen: 1. you will be told you are wrong, or 2. the subject being discussed will all of a sudden change,, probably to something along the lines of "Bush is the worst president......"
Maybe I'll be proven wrong.

The reason senators and congressmen do not meet with foreign leaders, unless it is at the request of the president, is because they are not elected nationally... He was elected by Ohio, he has every right to speak for the people of Ohio, he does not have the right to speak for the United States... Only the President, his administration, and his cabinet appointees do.. unless the president delegates somebody else to do it...
