well we have put ourselves in a great position to end this road trip. if we can somehow get 2 of 3 from these clowns then 7-3 for the trip. That gets an A my book.

yeah we need to stay on track. with detroit playing toronto, going to be hard to keep pulling away. if we come out of this series at 6 games ahead or better...we're locked for the pennant

Detroit has a make-up game against Toronto (and Roy Halladay), not a series. They have a 2-game with Texas, 3 with Minnesota and then 3 in Cleveland.

I rocked the Indians gear today...at least I could say "how about those Reds?" to those Who Dey morons...

These umpires are VERY generous to the Tribe. They keep going, allowing the Tribe to tie in the 7th, AstroCab gets a 2-run HR to go ahead. They then keep playing through the bottom of the 7th (with a generous out on the DP to end the inning with puddles all over the field) then call it as an official game with the Indians leading. They are making up for the home opener. Thanks umps!

Did they call the game or is it delayed? Gamecast shows it as a rain delay.

I saw the field on baseball tonight and they were literally playing with puddles throughout the infield....

Steve Phillips was going crazy saying how could the umpires risk the health of the Indians who have a chance to go to the playoffs/World Series...

It's hilarious watching the game online. There are 3 people in the stands behind home plate. and 40 empty green seats.

I've never seen anything like this. There are probably 150 people in the entire stadium.

Well, I was nervous about coming back out to finish the game. Good thing we added two more runs to keep Boro in the pen (for rest - not cause I don't trust him ).

I don't know if this has been mentioned,but with the emergence of Asdrubel Cabrera,does this ultimately mean the end of Josh Barfield in a Cleveland Indians uniform? I don't see how Wedge will ever play him again,with the exception of pinch running duties.Granted,Barfield had every chance to prove himself and he blew it.

Thoughts,anyone???

Barfield is still young and, I think, will be given every opportunity to win the 2B job next year. I think Cabrera will very likely be the starting SS next year. That moves Peralta to either 3B or another team. I think Barfield just tried to do too much this year in a new league. Put him at 2B and the #9 spot again next year and he'll hit .275, IMO. He needs to work on his pitch selection and his BA will jump significantly.

personally, I think jhonny is the odd man out here. i really think he will be traded. he is not a bad player, but i don't think he fits what WE need in the infield. I agree that barf and ascab are the middle infielders next year. obviously that leaves third base but I really would like to see someone else even if it is Blake/Marte.

I wonder what we can get for Jhonny? He could be a good fit for a team that needs a little more POP in the lineup. His defense has improved too.
