In my humble opinion I think the window is open now! We should make the playoffs this coming season and if we get hot who knows! I expect our chances to be even better the following couple years too.

There are no perfect teams especially when injuries are factored in over a long season... anyone CAN get there. Time to start believing again!

Looking at a map, it does appear Miami is east of Cleveland, but not by as much as one would think. Granted, eyeballing an online map is not very scientific, but the east-west difference did not look like much.

Orange...anything is possible!

Just look at how last season unfolded with the sudden change in the coaching staff at mid-season and the positive outcome. Then rewarding the individual/coach who played a key role in the team's turnaround, naming Kitchens as the new HC of the Browns.

...no one predicted what happened to the Browns in 2018.

What happens in the future is not really predictable but BleedsOrange is right, IMO.."anyone Can get there. Time to start believing again!"

Miami's longitude is -80.19366.

Cleveland's longitude is -81.681290.

Denver's longitude is -104.991531.

Cleveland is definitely west of Miami.

Things you think you learn at trivia night.

BC..."trivia night"?...you and arch go together? grin

Just fun'n around..got to laugh a little..it's all good thumbsup

Barely different.

81.6944° W - Cleveland

80.1918° W - Miami

~1.5° difference

Of course, you cannot do a straight conversion to miles from that as 1° of Longitude at their Latitude is farther than 1° of Longitude up by Cleveland.

We're as close as most any other team, provided we fix our defense.

This offense, with a better defense (and a kicker), is good enough to get us into the Playoffs as more than a Wild Card. That's as close as anyone.

How close? Not very as of yet. For one thing, we will be running a new defensive scheme again. Right back to square one. Even if our new DC is really good it will take time for the guys to learn and adapt to a new system. We have major holes to fill on both the offensive and defensive lines. We also need a #1 WR.
Then, of course, the big question, can Kitchens be a good head coach? He's never been one at any level. We don't even really know if he's a great OC. We damned sure don't have any idea how he will be as the head coach.

A different defense is true. A very similar defense is also true.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

So, I was right, then said I was wrong, but saying I was wrong was wrong, so I was right?

We have a winery not far from here that hosts a trivia night every 4-6 weeks or so.

Some of the topics, and questions they come up with are .....difficult.

I will keep this in mind. And by the way, on those trivia nights, I'm the d.d. Diet Pepsi for me.

I agree. Kareem Hunt is no slouch. One more option.

There is plenty of room for Nick, Kareem, and Duke on the same roster. All will get ample opportunity to shine.

Some have talked about moving Duke to receiver. Why not? Why not 2 back sets? We have a new sheriff in town and a new, creative minded coordinator. I am sure Kitch and Monk can come up with some creative options.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

Diam & Peen...I finished reading the stories in the thread YT started about Freddie and his background. He seems to be tailor made to be a HC.

Positive moves like hiring Fred and the adding Hunt are going to pay dividends, imo. grin

not to be disagreeable spirit but we do not have “major holes” to fill on our offensive line. Our o line performed very well the last 8 games when we put Robinson at left tackle. if we start the same group they will be better just by having the entire preseason to work together as a unit. I think our line will do a great job!!

If you win the division and your record is good enough to get a by in the first week. That helps a bunch.

Our chances hopefully will increase through free agency and the draft.

This question should be revisited come May 1st.

Maybe some years. This year I think they'll have less effect than usual.

Why? Why! Because the team already has talent, finaly, and they have for a while,

Now, IF! If they can stop cutting veterans, and keep the talent they already have, then that's a step.
Another is continuity, and Coaching, and the coaching plus GM' and the lot having familiarity with the team.

and the Team being familiar with each other, (continuity).

All of them are more important this year than the draft and free agency I'd bet.

(But as always, You can't win the division in March, April, and May, but you can "lose" it.)

The Browns are still no where near the Super Bowl, because the Browns are still not a top 6 team in the AFC.

Oh! Then are they going to prove it in September.

Dorsey is AMAZING...heck look how much stronger we just got and it isn't even FA nor draft impact yet.

As stated before I expect us to be big defensive players in this FA Market.

We can get an OT good one.

We can get a perfect DT in Richardson.

We can get an edge rusher in Clowney, Lawrence, Ford, Clark one of them for sure!

We can get an smart good young LB in KJ Wright.

We can get silly strong at Safety with Landon Collins or several other possibles.

All before the draft.

Then with this roster we can go BPA according to Dorsey which is turning out to be something special! wink

Man are we becoming a power house...well getting ahead of myself. Can't wait, the NFL most definitely must beware the IDES OF MARCH as the Browns take over the League!! wink

March 13th to be exact.

"How Close are the Browns to a Super Bowl?"

Let's see, 2020 Superbowl is in Miami so about 1240 miles.

(Sorry, couldn't help myself)
