Not sure if anyone else here has read this, but it’s probably the best novel I read this past year.

It was written by a native Clevelander and war veteran who is currently serving an 11-year sentence for a string of bank robberies he committed in the Cleveland-area to support a heroin habit he picked up after returning from multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

If anyone is looking for a good read, I highly recommend it. If anyone has read it, what did you think?

During my time living that life, and certainly in the years afterward; I've always found it weird how some addicts seem to gravitate to crime to feed their addiction almost immediately, while others take a slow trajectory towards burglary, robbery, etc. And then some, never go that route at all...

Its weird how that works....

My inclination would be to say that the violence Walker saw may have been a factor.

For me personally, my drug issues never approached that level because I was always- statistically - rich.

Not to make light of the issue, but as David Lee Roth once said “It’s not a drug problem if you can afford it”.

Have you read the book, Tyler? If not, I think you’d really enjoy it.

I wasn't rich, but I always had a job, and if it worked out to where I was sick and the only way I was going to score is by going to work in the grip of major dopesickness….I always sucked it up and muddled through my shift...

Haven't read the book.....currently I'm reading The Silk Roads by Frankopan(sp)….
