I've got a 12-team league and we just now got a draft time actually worked out, that time is, of course, taken on ESPN's fantasy spots. So, we figured it wouldn't be too difficult to find a chat room or something to hold our draft in online. We were wrong. I guess chat rooms are the things of the past... Anyhow, does anybody know of a free place online where we can meet and hold this without downloading software, etc. and hold our draft? I'd really appreciate any help we can get in this... Thanks in advance.

Log, he's right. Use the Dawgtalkers chat room, make a special room for your draft that is off the main chat and it should work.

Would it work even if all 12 teams are not registered dawgtalkers?
I suppose the process to register is fairly easy....just send each owner the link and tell them to register....

Do it live. If you go to a BW3 and have them "sponsor" your draft, they give you $100 in free food

I would think if a Live draft was an option, he wouldnt be asking.
And not all BW's due that promotion, the one we are going to is giving us $50 in free food and $50 in gift certificates to be used at a later date.

Yeah, its not possible since two guys live in Florida that are doing the draft. We finally found a website (Parachat) to use. Thanks for the ideas though guys! All I was finding was, shall we say, adult-themed, chat rooms that were available and that wasn't what we were after. Thanks again!

Other option is everyone have AIM chat names, and start a private room with all the members.
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.
