Doubt anyone remembers but I posted a few months ago about leaving my old job which I had grown sick of. And I was a bit nervous about leaving because of long term stability (been there 17 years) and I had to get a CDL at the new job.
Well, fast forward to now. I love the guys I work with. We have a lot of fun together, we can cut up and nobody gets all but hurt over an over the top comment. And well to top it off I passed my CDL test today. So I'm feeling pretty good about my decision.
Plus I'm making more money and have better benefits. Morale of the story is don't be afraid to take chances. I was scared ......when this started but I'm feeling a lot better now.

Definitely congratulations!!!! I recently made a job switch and I know how you feel. It can be night and day. Its hard to put into words how much difference the people you work with can make.

I work in the trucking industry so trust me when I tell you that the demand for drivers is through the roof now.

Would love to make the move too, but with a little less than 10 years to retirement, after 26 years of being a correction officer, scared to do it. I hate being a CO!
