Didn't mean to step on your post, Dawg. I just started a new thread about Pluto's new job and didn't see your post. Sorry

He was a big part of the ABJ being the best sports section in the area. I subscribe to the ABJ and not to the PD, so this hurts a little.

I can't imagine that he'd go to the PD as a beat reporter. He's probably freelance, like he was at the ABJ. If they got rid of anybody to make room for him, it'd probably be Livingston or Shaw...

Who knows,, the way things are going at the area newspapers these days,, anything is possible. But I see him as more of an addition to the staff..

Think about it, take the most popular columnist away from your closest rival and boom,,, you have the edge... so getting Pluto seems to be a bit of a win for the PD in more ways than one..

That would be a good start.I was hoping both Bill Livingston and Bud Shaw.

Ok cool, now two of my favorite writters are on the PD. Grossi and Pluto... nice. I might actually read the sports page more often now.

Couldn't we get rid of all of them? Seriously, I hate all four, especially Grossi.

Yea hell, the PD can trash Grossi, Mary Kay, Livingston, and Shaw. Might actually have a decent sports section than.

Btw, i don't know if anyone saw, but roger brown is writing for a dayton paper i think

Welcome back Terry! It will be nice to read a top-notch writer's work again in the PD sports page.

My vote would be to dump Livingston. IMO, he's been getting a free ride for WAY too long and is easily the weakest columnist on the PD's sports page. I'm not much of a Shaw fan either, but at least he comes up with a decent column once in a while. Livingston's been a hack since Day 1.

Didn't have the time to read this until now, but saw it posted the other day and was wondering why/how Pluto had become a cop for the Cleveland Police Department.......
