Just saw it this afternoon and was wondering if there were any fans of the trilogy. The first one was good, the second one was better, but the third one blew them away. I really enjoyed the flick. It was probably one of the best action movies I've seen for a long long time. I was in suspense pretty much the entire film with the great action sequences. And they were pure action sequences most of the time, not the CGI and big explosive, over-the-top stuff Hollywood does today. Like blowing up a helicopter in mid-air a la Bruce Willis in the new Die Hard.
Anybody who is a fan of the first 2 should see the final one. Great movie.

I loved the first two movies!
I wanna see this one too, my buddy seen it and said it was freaking awesome. Non stop action the whole way through.
I have to admit when the first one came out I was a little skeptical with Matt Damon playing a bad-ass but I think he pulls it off pretty well.

Bourne Movies = Best Trilogy of All-Time
All three movies are great...with the second one probably slightly being the best.
I too was concerned about Damon pulling off the badass, but I think he's only second to B.Willis in that department after these three movies.

Robert Ludlum is an excellent author. Loved the books and love the movies. (read the books when I was between the ages of 13-17 ). I can't wait to see Ultimatum...have heard nothing but GOOD things about it.

Yeah, it was awesome. Action from beginning to end. I was hoping it would be as good as the second, and it exceeded my personal expectations. And the Supremacy was a great movie.

It is an awesome movie. The trilogy came together nicely. I especially liked how the timelines between the 2nd and 3rd interwind. I found the books to be way better than the movies.

Man, that was sic (that means cool, just in case anyone is wondering).
The movie had lost some credibility for me at first with the way the second one had ended and the third began. I thought they were just kind of acting like the second ending didn't happen. I was confused about the point in time the movie was taking place.
How they brought that together was off the hook crazy good.
All three of the movies were just incredible.

I am actually going to start another thread on this topic, but I think this series could last just as long as 007......

I wouldn't want it to go further. It was a perfect trilogy. Many times, sequels don't live up to the original, where these sequels (IMO) beat out the last.
I wouldn't want it ruined.

Haven't seen movie yet as I'm waiting for DVD release. Just finished reading "Bourne Betrayal" and that was pretty suspenseful. It was written by Eric Van Lustbader. If you want I can tell you how it ends.

You got something against going to the movies? You're going to be waiting awhile for that DVD.
If you liked the first two, you will definitely like this one.
To anyone: How many Bourne books did Ludlum write? Was it just the three?

Ludlum wrote 3, and some other guy wrote a 4th that just came out.
iirc, the 2nd bourne movie came out around this time and was on DVD by Christmas.

I can't wait to see this movie, but with my schedule, i'll probably have to catch it on dvd.
I have teh first two on HD DVD and they look amazing. I like the first one the best. The second is pretty good, but the way the film was shot makes it hard for me to watch. The camera shakes and moves to fast.. I understand it is an action film, but the filmography nearly gives me motion sickness.

Well, as a heads up, the 3rd is the same way. With the fight scenes and some of the chases, the camera is shaky, which is intended. I like it personally.

No doubt!
And the thing is, I enjoyed the first, and thought the second one was great, but the third was easily better.

I loved the first two movies. As a matter of fact, so much so that I got opening night tickets for the Ultimatum - my first movie in a theatre in about a year and a half. Now before I go into my thoughts on the movie, my frame of mind may have affected it - I received a call from my father that my grandfather passed away about an hour before the movie started...
Anyway, I thought it was by far the worst of the 3 movies. To start out, the cinematography was very Blair Witch. The plot was the thinnest of the 3 movies, and I thought that the action was so-so. As we walked out of the theatre, both of the friends who I went with expressed the same thoughts as I did. My advice is to save your money and rent this when it comes out.

That's the first bad review that I've heard so far. It got a good review in the local paper, and they don't give good reviews to anything.

That's the ONLY bad review you'll hear. The movie ROCKED, although, I think it is on par w/ the 2nd one, not MUCH better, like a lot of people are saying.
My only problem w/ it (without spoiling anyhing) is the ending was a little too anti-climatic for me. It makes it seem like there should be more movies now, although I think this one was definitely the last one.
I can't wait for the inevitable DVD box set w/ all the Bourne flicks!!!

I was under the impression that there were 5 books. Not 4. The first three written were by Ludlum and the last two were by a family friend with the family's blessing.
I believe they are still looking at making the next movie (or two based on the books).

There are 5 Bourne books, 3 by Ludlum and 2 by Eric Van Lustbader w/Ludlum. If you google Eric Van Lustbader you will see that he has written 2 bourne novels with Ludlum.
