This is in a Winners Yahoo league, standard scoring, 10 teams in the league.
My Team Before the trade:
QBs- Donovan McNabb. Jake Delhomme. RBs- Tomlinson, McGahee, Benson, Lynch, Ahman Green,Julius Jones and Ladel Betts. WRs- Chad Johnson, Lee Evans, Mark Clayton, Vincent Jackson and Muhsin Muhammad. TE-None K- None DEF- Baltimore.
when i drafted this team all the good tight end were gone so i thought i would invest in other areas and by the season starts i'll get my TE and K.
this other owner wanted a WR badly and he was willing to deal Drew Brees. Since I'm ok at QB i thought about a trade in which he will lose his only 2 good players, Drew Brees and Steven Jackson. The idea of getting both LT and Jackson at the same team really excited me even at the cost of losing Chad Johnson. after a lot of offers and counter offers, we've agreed on this trade:
I get: Steven Jackson and Drew Brees He Gets: Chad Johnson, Benson, Lynch and Muhammad.
i also added Greg Jennings and Brandon Jackson from the waiver wire.
Now my Team look like that: QBs- Drew Brees, Donovan McNabb, Delhomme. WRs- Lee Evans, Jennings, Clayton, V. Jackson. RBs- Tomlinson, Steven Jackson, McGahee, A. Green, Julius Jones, Betts and B. Jackson.
I was willing to trade Benson since i have doubts that he could stay healthy throughout the whole season, as for Lynch, The Bills anounced they will be commited to the RBBC system, so his value to me is not high.
I have great depth at RBs and QBs so i thought i could trade later for better WRs, but the owners in this league don't really like to trade so i might be stuck that way.
If my team will stay with those WRs, Do you think having the LT- Jackson Combo would make up for it or maybe i just did a big mistake by letting go of Chad Johnson?
Thanks!

That was a great trade for you. He better have had some more RBs on his team to trade Jackson away for any WR. I would naver trade a top ten RB for a top 3 WR. Jackson is also a top 5 fantasy RB not top ten.
Not only do you have the top RB, you possibley have the top two fantasy RBs in the game.
You got over on him with just Johnson for Jackson, and you get Drew Brees? Wow. McNabb is a good QB to have, now you have Brees who almost won MVP last year. So you have 2 top five FFL RBs and possibley 2 top 5 FFL QBs. McNabb has history with injuries and now you have Brees.
Damn, you should just give him Delhomme or Green out of pity cuz you just robbed him. I didnt even see you had Mcgahee. McGahee is a back I would be happy having as a 1 or 2 FFL RB and you have him as a 3. Having Green as a 4 is sweet also. I have never seen depth like that at RB on a ten team league. It looks like alot of other owners didnt make the draft and the computer picks every position for the owner and you picked up the weak positions after the draft.
If you have any big injuries, your RB depth will carry you to the playoffs.

I wanted to send him Delhomme but he didn't want him, he wanted Muhammad instead (He's a Bears fan). His other QB is Cutler. His RBs were Jackson, A. Peterson (Min), Chester Taylor and Norwood. Without Steven Jackson his team in not very exciting.
The main question is, Is my WRs are good enough now or that will hurt me all season long?

I thought he was a Cincy fan, but being a Bears fan and doing that trade makes just as much sense.
Your QBs and RBs will win you weeks by themselves. I have won in leagues with weak WRs and picking them up here and there. All you need to do is find a Colsten(a WR who nobody knows about) after week 1 and you are set.
I wouldnt worry about being hurt all season long. If Green has a season like he did last year, Its possible that you will have 4 RBs (barring injury) that have more yards then any of his RBs. Taylor and Peterson will be splitting carries in Minnesota and Norwood is good at getting his TDs. Who knows what will happen to his production with Vick out. It should give him more oppurtunies to carry the ball, whether opposing defenses put more focus on him or not.
Lee Evens is worth starting every week. He would be as good #2 WR. but with your team, he will hold up fine. he had some monster games last year and you wont even need him for that. just find a couple consistant WRs and you will be fine. WRs will never carry a FFL. With your RBs and QBs, you can get away with picking up a new WR each week. Like picking up Cincys #3 WR when they play the Browns or any #2 WR playing a week secondary.

Thanks for finding the time to reply.
I sent out some trade offers for a stud WR. I'm willing to let go of Brees or McNabb, but as i said, The owners don't really want to trade, so i'm hoping to find the Next Colston during the season.

You may be weak at WR but you just robbed that guy. Jackson and LT will help you win by themselves. You also got brees who put up ungodly numbers last year.

Honestly, if you are going to have a weakness, better it at WR than RB...and at the looks of your team after that trade...they might as well give you the championship.
you had a good run Hank.

you're very thin at WR, but you're going to rake in the points with that set of backs...
just watch the free agent/waiver wires... there is ALWAYS a WR who comes out of nowhere a la marques colston
mcnabb is a beast when he's healthy, easily one of the best ff qb's around, and you have a great insurance policy with brees... you could really take another gamble by trading mcnabb for an upgrade at WR...
it's going to be a bitch going up against someone who has both LT and jackson, i believe those are the 1 and 2 rated fantasy players in the league, in a lot of lists...
