Had the first pick in the draft in a ten team league.

1. (1) LaDainian Tomlinson RB
2. (20) Terrell Owens WR
3. (21) Philip Rivers QB
4. (40) Thomas Jones RB
5. (41) Kellen Winslow TE
6. (60) Matt Hasselbeck QB
7. (61) Plaxico Burress WR
8. (80) Pittsburgh DEF
9. (81) David Akers K
10. (100) Joey Galloway WR
11. (101) Carnell Williams RB
12. (120) Denver DEF
13. (121) Dwayne Jarrett WR
14. (140) Greg Olsen TE
15. (141) Troy Williamson WR

My last three picks are question marks but after pre-season I might switch with some guy's on the waiver wire.

The first pick is a no-brainer so you did the right thing there. TO with the 20th pick is a good pick but IMO Rivers at 21 is way too early. It wouldnt surprise me if you end up starting Hasselbeck for the majority of the season.

Thomas Jones could be a good pick up - he was impressive last season in Chicago and now will not have to share the load with Benson! I see him being a good pick.

KW was probably a homer pick - although he is an excellent pick up in a points per reception league.

The steal of the draft has to be Cadillac with your 11th round pick. Last year this guy was top 10 material - how the mighty have fallen! very good selection!

I would look to trade for another top class WR hopefully Cadillac will start well and may generate some interest!?

All in all I don't like your side, if TO and LT produce then you could be competitive. Good luck

I think Thomas Jones is going to be a great pickup.

The Jets rushed for 1,738 yards last season without a feature back and two rookies on the offensive line. I couldn't pass him up.

I would have rather taken someone other than Rivers but QB's seemed to fly off pretty quick.

I did have in mind when I took him that Norv Turner liking to air it out a little bit more than Marty and Rivers proving he could play last year that he could be getting a few more chances to throw it.

He had very solid numbers last year too. 22td's to 9 Int's and a 61.7 completion percentage.

After the draft though I did realize that I probably won't be starting him as much as Hasslebeck since I do have LT.

I thought Plaxico was a solid pick IMO. He had 10 touchdowns last year, 988 yds and even missed a game. I know last year doesn't mean squat but I think he will return to form.

This was a really weird draft. Defenses flying off the board in the second round, Peyton Manning going 2 overall, which isn't incredibly suprising but I wouldn't have taken him that high.

I'll post the whole draft for you guy's to look at.

A weird draft indeed! either the league is set up so QBs, WRs and D's score bigger than usual or your opponents are rookies!!

I cant believe you took Rivers ahead of Bulger! I think Bulger will post great numbers this year. The San Diego Defense going at pick 11 is amazing!

Those players on the waiver wire don't look much cop either. If I had to pick one then it would be out of Jennings or Kennison?

If you can let us know the scoring then it would be easier to assess your team.

Yeah they are pretty much rookies. I know all of them. I was sitting there shocked for some of those picks. Look at my buddy Boz's picks. Can you tell he is a big time Saints fan. They are good picks but I would hate to be him on their bye week.

I took Bulger last year and he screwed me so I was weary about taking him.

The thing that kind of ticked me off was that passing touchdowns were set for 4 points prior to the draft and then after the draft my buddy changed it to 6 points.

Here is the scoring

Completions (1)
Incomplete Passes (-1)
Passing Yards (25 yards per point)
Passing Touchdowns (6)
Interceptions (-2)
Sacks (-1)
Rushing Yards (10 yards per point)
Rushing Touchdowns (6)
Reception Yards (10 yards per point)
Reception Touchdowns (6)
Return Touchdowns (6)
2-Point Conversions (2)
Fumbles Lost (-2)
Offensive Fumble Return TD (6)
Field Goals 0-19 Yards (3)
Field Goals 20-29 Yards (3)
Field Goals 30-39 Yards (3)
Field Goals 40-49 Yards (4)
Field Goals 50+ Yards (5)
Point After Attempt Made (1)
Sack (1)
Interception (2)
Fumble Recovery (2)
Touchdown (6)
Safety (2)
Block Kick (2)
Points Allowed 0 points (10)
Points Allowed 1-6 points (7)
Points Allowed 7-13 points (4)
Points Allowed 14-20 points (1)
Points Allowed 21-27 points (0)
Points Allowed 28-34 points (-1)
Points Allowed 35+ points (-4)

Seems a bit strange that the scoring is changed after the draft - but if your all mates then so be it.

Your kickers and defenses could score alot of points. I know its difficult to stick to your guns when teams around you are making strange draft decisions but look at Country Bumpkins they made all RB & WR selections in the first 5 rounds and then picked up Kitna who could be massive this year! they look the strongest on paper for me.

Anyway its Fantasy Football and anything can happen - Good Luck

I don't want to hear that. Country bumpkins is my best friend and we are highly competetive. I will tell him you said his draft was awful.

I don't know. I was really gunning for Roy Williams but I knew he wouldn't make it back to me.

I don't know how Willie Parker made it so far. Besides a Steeler fan and a Saints fan everyone else is Browns fans. I got flak for picking their defense.

My one friend said I should be kicked in the jumk for picking the steelers with a name like Browns Town.

Where do you guys find fantasy leagues like this?

Who drafts a defense in the second round?

It's like free money playing in leagues like this. If it isn't for cash you need to talk them into it

Well since you brought it up, I was planning on asking them if they want to do 10 or 20 bucks a head and have a first, second and third prize.

Yeah it sucks because it totally throws your own draft off when people are picking like that.

Oh well, I am starting a 16 team league if anyone wants to join. some of the guy's from this draft will be in it. If anyone want's to join let me know and i'll pm you the info.

I stopped reading this when I saw you got Cadillac in the 11th round. I'm not a fan of his, but that's just ridiculous to get a starting-NFL RB in the 11th round of any draft.

I dropped Dwayne Jarrett and picked up Matt Jones.

Hopefully this is the year Jones steps up, with from what i'm hearing an improved Byron Leftwhich I think it's possible.

I figured picking up a starter in place of a 3rd or 4th receiver seemed a little more logical. I don't figure to be putting him in until a bye week anyways unless he starts lighting it up.
