Ok,, don't get real excited,, it's the first time I've used my new Dig Cam,,,, so it's ok but not earth shaking,,,

http://s105.photobucket.com/albums/m215/Damanshot/

Here's what you will see.. 3 still pics of not much, 2 vids,, 1 of KW2 coming out on the field,,, but you can't tell it's him,, too far away. But you will hear the crowd go a little crazy,, kinda cool

The other vid is a 360 degree look at the entire camp area.. for those that are planning a trip or thinking about it, it may interest you.

Something else really funny happened to me,,

As I was leaving,, there was a guy standing outside the gate,,, since I left a little early to beat the rush, there were plenty of fans still inside,, they were cheering for something,,, as I walked by this guy, I said, heck, I wonder what they are cheering about,,'

His answer was,,, The Browns always win in camp,,, Cracked me up

Cal, I wrote this up for a different thread on Kellen Winslow that's in this forum,,, here ya go:

Quote:

Ok,,, couple of impressions,, Keep in mind, I coudn't see much due to the crowds.. I'm 6'2" and believe me, I felt short today LOL

Impressions by Jack Handy (sorry, had to do it)

Mr. Thomas is NOT a fat man.. this guy is chiseled...

Winslow looked fast and fiesty.. lots of energy and the legs looked great,, strong

This one will kill you guys,, Saw Braylon go up for a pass and it was a bit of a stretch,,, he made it and took off with the ball nicely (remember, no pads and nobody defending himsto take it with a grain of salt) But he looked ready to play.

Chase Pittman is a very aggresive guy... VERY! No pads and no real contact and he about took somebodys head off..... I could not tell who it was.

Pool kinda looked lazy but that's probably an unfair assessement.. it seemed like everytime I looked over at him, he was not in the mix... and not expected to be either. so like I said, that might have been unfair of me.

I looked for but didn't see Bentley and Baxter.. Neither of them were anywhere within my field of vision. Again, that might have been due to the crowds.. Also I didn't see Dimario Minter either. I was hoping to.

Frye and Anderson looked like Frye and Anderson.. virtually no change from last season.. But here's the deal,, Dorsey looked good.. Go figure!

Cribbs was lined up as a receiver with Kenny Wright on him.... Cribbs blew past him in a flash... looked like Kenny was lost.... that wasn't a good sign.

Here's some off the wall stuff about camp:

Odd sighting,,, a lady was trying to get into camp with what looked like a picket sign,,, but what it was was a big number 57... the guards wouldn't let her in with it and she went ballistic...Dropping F bombs like there was no tomorrow... it was rather funny to see her get hauled off...LOL Stupid! Just stupid.

Very disappointed in the food arrangments.. No Beer, No Hot Dogs, no soft pretzels, just water and some soda and snacks like candy bars (snickers was the only one I saw) and various chips and pretzels..

Donato's pizza was there, but I tried one and to be honest, I like Donatos,, but this was just flat out bad.....

MBNA was giving away big towels if you apply for a credit card.

They moved things around bigtime from last year.. the big tent is down closer to the main building,,,

Speaking of the main building, it's now named the Casey Coleman Field House.... I hadn't noticed that last season so I'm assuming it's new,.,, kinda classy if you ask me...

Anyway, down by the tent there was what appeared to be all the refreshments that I like, but it was off limits to all but VIPs...

I was asked to complete a survey... they asked me questions, I verbally answer them and I got a poster (that I haven't unrolled yet)..

Dumbest question in the survey: What do you like about the Browns Online experience (PPE, you will love this) I told them that Dawgtalkers.net was superb,,, the kid said, you mean Clevelandbrowns.com.. I said NO,, that site sucks since you guys changed it last year,,,, it doesn't stay up during peak traffic times such as the draft and you have a bunch of crazy kid posters that ruined the old dawgtalk section...

So then he asked for the URL again and I gave it to him.... seemed like a nice young man,, I suspect we'll have a new member later tonight...LOL

That's all I got for now...

Since I wrote this, a friend of mine was at camp also, but we didn't see each other.. he said that Minter was riding a bike in a boot,,, Didn't see it. On TV this evening, they talked about Baxter was there also riding a bike.. Again, I didn't see it myself so I can't confirm it.

Bentley was NOT there according to the news and someone else said that Eric Wright wasn't there either because he had transportation problems,, couldn't get to town soon enough to sign and get ready to practice I guess.....

Cal, Hope this helps you for now.,.

I saw minter riding the bike durin camp. The bikes were stationed closer to the big building. I didnt see Baxter though.

Kellen Winslow looked like he had never had surgery in the first place along with Braylon. Braylon was also sportin that Orange Visor in his helmet again and it looked pretty awesome. Not sure if hell be able to wear that in the season or not. Both of them were catchin everything thrown his way. The player that definitely drew the most fan attention was Winslow. Everywhere he went people were yellin and cheerin him on. One thing that really impressed me was the way that Sean Jones treated the fans during the autograph session. Before he would sign the autograph he would look at the person and carry on a conversation with them. He was a true nice guy, and on the opposite, Edwards kept his head down and didnt respond to people when they asked him questions. Other than that, camp was good and I cant wait til they start puttin those pads on.

Another thing i noticed..

Wimbley is a freak of nature. The guy is probably one of the biggest and most cut linebackers ive ever seen. That guy has muscles in places where i didnt think you could have muscles. He even looks bigger than he did last year. Lets hope the offseason work turns into some more production and puttin other QBs on the ground this year.

Awesome, Daman! Thank you.

Thoughts:

I'm a Jack Handy fan.

Saw the Winslow raw practice footage. He looked good. Real good. Fluid. Good to hear it wasn't just highlight video.

I truly believe Braylon A) has grown up, B) will have another good year, better than last in all catagories. (I personally think he had a decent year, except for a couple untimely/unfortunate drops and an embarrassing outburst.)

Having a guy like Pittman turning into some type of huge bonus would be a great surprise, especially at that position. He's probably 25-30lbs light in the pants to be of any real benefit this year, (he and Melila both,) but a year or two down the road might he mean something to the team if he can pick up some techinique. Even Fraser is listed at 300 now, wasn't he around 275-280 when we drafted him?

Can't wait to see Pool & Jones in action.

Looks like they're "postponing" Bentley's physical while he continues to rehab for four weeks. While rehabbing an additional four weeks certainly can't hurt, it doesn't bode well IMO for a comeback prior to mid-season, if at all. (I hope he does and think he can.)

The fact that both Winslow and Baxter are out there is amazing in itself and if Bentley makes it back then this will truly be a miracle team. The Awesome Anti-Injury team, where as before injuries devastated us, now they only make us stronger. The word will get out that Winslow, Edwards, Baxter and LCB are made out some type of experimental alloy; Humanium or Manridium or something. Because these are guys who have seen the dark side and have lived to tell about it. Men who are invincible. Men to be feared... That's what I'm talkin' about.

Did I type that out loud?

Saw the QB pressers and they seem really excited by Chud and the new offense. I also saw what looked to be a lot of misdirection plays and designed roll-outs. Did you notice anything like that, or was it just the highlight reel?

Kenny Wright punked by Cribbs? As long as it wasn't Eric Wright. I heard about his "transportation problem". Wonder what is up with Minter's foot.

Sucks about the food. #57 F-bomb lady is hilarious.

Wish I could go... Maybe next year. So glad football is back!

Thanks for the update!!! GO BROWNS!!!

I always thought Cleveland was a gray city but never realized the people turned gray!!??

What is the deal with everything in color except the people?

Even my half color blind eyes see that.

Im surprised the league office hasn't already launched a lawsuit against Daman for videotaping a practice. They're very concerned about protecting their interests and maybe this is copyright infringement.

As for the call I received from Roger Goodell of the NFL,,, they are asking me to take down the vids for fear that will end up on Youtube.com

Well.... The grass looked green...

A lot of new cameras that shoot both stills and vid, have a lot of buttons that can be accidently pushed. My Nikon has a whole set of buttons along the lens frame that I've learned to stay away from. It could also be something as simple as a "White Balance" problem. Rather than using a default, you may need to White Balance manually when you use vid. Good luck tracking the problem down...

Yeah, just got back form day 2, I have ot say for my first training camp I was mezmorized...

I have never been so close ot the players before. But anyway, it was a real treat to see all the guys again. Some things I noticed.

Jamal Lewis is listed as 245lbs?, 245 by butt? A least to me he looked like he may have lost some weight.

Winslow looks as great as ever, catching and cutting.

I watched the QB's pretty closely, their footwork and their accuracy. To me it looked like Anderson had the better mechanics and the physical edge right now, he just doesn't have the knowledge off the offense like Frye.

And looking at the huge players were pretty entertaining. Noticed big Ted, as big as a house, and that Leon Willaims was listed at 6"1 or 2, but he looks at least 6"4.

I was also very excited because I got to see Barclay in some minor action. I have ot say the kid looks good so far, but let's wait.

And man those autograph sessions are pretty intense, I saw these two men exchange some heated words. The argument was about a spot in line, and then it somehow got to, "Why don't you teach your kids right."!

And another thing, I didn't know you had to have a ticket to get an autograph, that is pretty lame..Where in the heck do I go about obtaining that, I thought it would be like always, first come first serve, right?

ooohhhhh, those tickets!

So Jamal looked lighter to you?

I saw what you wrote about the QB's and Anderson looking better... It's funny how perception plays a part in things,,

Yesterday when I was there, it really struck me that Dorsey looked the best of all... Wierd huh? then there is an artical somewhere on here that I read that says Frye looks best,,,

Perception,,,,, Ya gotta love it
