The Cleveland Browns have signed DL Garrett Sickels to the practice squad.

Sickels, a 6-4, 252-pound rookie, originally signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent, who he spent the 2017 preseason with. He also spent Week 1 of the regular season as a member of the Colts’ practice squad before being waived on Sept. 12.

Collegiately, Sickels appeared in 39 games with 24 starts at Penn State, registering 93 total tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. His 47 tackles and six sacks in 2016 earned him Second Team All-Big Ten (league coaches) and Third Team All-Big Ten (media) accolades.
A native of Red Bank, N.J., Sickels graduated from Regional High School.

I edited this to explain the screen shots of his tweets you'd see if you click . . .

WR Bug Howard hints he's headed for Browns

By: Jeff Risdon | 33 minutes ago

It looks like the Cleveland Browns are signing another wide receiver. A week after Jordan Leslie revealed his plans to rejoin the team via some coy social media clues, Bug Howard has done the same.

Howard, an undrafted rookie from North Carolina, tweeted out something which sure appears to intimate he’s headed for the Browns. A big-bodied 6-foot-4 with sure hands during his college days in Chapel Hill, Howard spent time with the Indianapolis Colts during the summer but has not been with any NFL team since the season began.

He only tweeted, “The Land.” It is popular online vernacular for Cleveland.

That follows a more ambiguous tweet from Monday night, simply "Blessed", one which can be construed that the former Tar Heel got some good news about what was coming…

The Browns do still have an open slot on the practice squad after signing another former Colts undrafted free agent, DE Garrett Sickels. Howard was a notable special teams standout in college as well as a productive receiver, catching 53 passes for over 800 yards and eight TDs as a senior.

A big WR with first name Bug? I'm on board. :-p

Is it just me, or are we extremely active in picking up other teams' PS and undrafteds?

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Bad enough we have to ransack that list and pickup other teams of what is considered trash, to outplay ours lol.

The Cleveland Browns have elevated LB Deon King to the active roster from the practice squad and placed LB Dominique Alexander on injured reserve (knee). In addition, the club signed LB Austin Calitro and WR Rannell Hall to the practice squad and released LB Garrett Sickels from the practice squad.

going into Week 5 and we are signing guys off our practice squad... that is a sure sign of a weak roster.

Would it be a sign of a weaker roster if we had to raid other teams' practice squads? Like we just did for a WR?
