I'm looking for some quick tips to help me stay awake. I got about 5 1/2 hours of sleep last night, and I'm getting ready to leave to play in a softball tournament. Then when that tournament is over, I have to be at another tournament at 7 tonight. And that will last till about 730 Sunday morning. (It's an all-nighter tournament).

Anyone got any tips to help me stay awake this whole time? Thanks.

Take a nap if you can

Drink lots of water. Stay active. Caffeine. Eating 'healthy' food and not stuff that will be heavy in your stomach. Have friends that will help you.

If it's an all-night softball tourney I think you'll be alright. Sounds like you're going to be doing a lot of moving...

I haven't played softball in a few years, but I don't ever recall falling asleep during a game.

5 1/2 hours is enough sleep.....you'll be dragging ass the next coupla days though.

I've heard from truck drivers that have ran very long runs, that activity is the best way (without stimulants such as cafine) of staying alert and awake.

So I believe the very fact that you will be playing ball will help keep you stimulated. If you get tired while your team is at bat. Move around, pass the ball with someone,etc.... Just "stay active" is the best medicine I can think of. Cafine is something I wouldn't advise using a lot of in the heat.

Rent yourself out as a dart board between games. You will stay awake

well some red bull will wake you up, but you still need to drink plenty of water...caffeine will dehydrate you....

only problem with the stuff is you will have to drink it all day...when it wears off you'll be even more tired....

Drink Monster energy drinks (my personal favorite) while playing softball.

Either that, or invest in some vivarin or no-doze.

Crack or X. If you get too wired, a half tab of oxy will even you out.

Honestly, though....grab some rest between games and a cup of coffee before the later games. You'll spike and crash with the energy drinks over that lengthy period of time.

You need some Ice or Glass, its a high quality form of crystal meth. A quarter gram will usually keep you up for around 48 hours. And you won't be doing any eating during this time either.

If you find yourself wanting to sleep, then you'll be forced to eat a handful of Tylenol PM's they always do the trick.

Oh and Jf, Crack will always overpower the oxy buzz. And honestly, oxy's aren't the rage anymore, suboxy's are.

Thats enough drug talk for now.

When I need to stay up I eat plain popcorn. It tastes like crap but it works. And it is in fact easy on my stomach.

Not sure how possible it is in your situation though.

Thanks guys for all the advice. I made it through the night and actually was alert the whole time lol. I drank tons of water, and stayed active even when we were hitting. That seemed to do the trick. Thanks for your help everyone!

Trying to stay awake? This is not recommended unless you want to come down hard from a sugar crash, but I did this once to pull an all nighter. 1. Mountian Dew (Code Red works the best) add one giant Pixy Stick (Warning this will cause a chemical reaction and there will be a lot of fiz) Drink all at once.
