Ywah slightly that guys' head is not shaped like a peanut and his ears don't stick out as much and his lips are not as full or as nicely shaped.

1. you can't see the top of his head.
2. the ears look the same to me, just a photo from further away.
3. His lips are in different poses in the two pictures.

Not the top of his head the side of his head and there's no way the guy in the photo could make his lips look like Northcuts (well, at least not without surgery of filler)

Is Dennis Northcutt gay? I think there a couple of better questions to be asked here.......... 1. IF Dennis Northcutt is gay,who and why does anyone care? 2. What possible difference does it make if he IS gay? I feel thos two questions may be slightly more pertinant. JMHO

I don't care if he is and if he is it's not a problem. The question is really does the guy on the cover of the magazine look like him or not? I say slightly but enough to make me look twice. It's knind of like one of those "what's different about these pictures" cartoons

That's the last thing I was trying to do. I don't see where you have said anything negative about him being gay. I was simply saying that I don't really care in even knowing if he is. To me it's simply a "non issue" one way or the other. But IMO,to be "gay bashing" you would actually have to bash someone about their sexual prefrance. And I can't see where you've done anything that even romotely resembles that. So no,that's not where I was headed at all. I was just saying that from "my perspective" I don't see the facination of wondering or knowing if in fact he is or isn't gay. Believe me,if I were going to accuse you of something directly,I wouldn't have been nearly so subtle about it. JMHO

Honestly, if he had come out and we all knew it would be a non issue.
However, not knowing and then showing up on a gay magazine would be quite shocking. That is all, and I was curious *L*, and who better to ask than the most diehard Browns fans I know????

To the best of my knowledge there are ZERO openly gay athletes in any of the 4 major professional sports.
A few players have 'come out' after retirement. *IF* Northcutt (any current NFL player) were on the cover of a magazine aimed at the gay/lesbian community... ESPN would be doing live 24 hours per day coverage.

They do look at different people in the mirror.  On ESPN radio the other day they were talking about how Men's Health is a psuedo gay men magazine. If you thumb through the issue, apparently they sneak in a lot of pictures of shirtless guys from the thighs up and sneak in pictures like a guy in breifs with a cowboy hat on. Straight men wouldn't notice it, but the gay men would.

My only idea was that it dealt with more of the emotional and psychological aspects of being a gay athlete.. but I don't get the feeling that's what it's about...

Yeah it is. In line with other popular magazines like "Woodworking for Gays" and "Gay Auto Mechanic Monthly"
I don't understand why gay athletes would want a magazine. What do they play gay only games or train different then everyone else?
