Hey Guys,
I am a Senior at Ohio State and will be taking the GRE on July 30th. I plan on going into education (eventually education administration). For those you that have taken it do you have any advice?
I went through the math problems and they really don't seem that bad. The verbal part will be difficult though.

Is the GRE the test you pass before you can teach in the public schools? If that's the case ... and if it's anything like the test needed to do substitute teaching in the San Diego school district, I'd recommend checking your pulse before taking the test. ... if you have one, you should be good.

Get the practice book and just keep going through it... it's not too bad... basically a higher level SAT.
Also be sure to know what your Grad schools are requesting your GRE scores to be so you have an idea of what you need to score... but remember that most schools take a lot of things in mind so the GRE is not the end all.

The GRE was incredibly easy. Pretty much simple math and those comparing words problems. There is also a fairly big writing section. It all depends on if you need to take the standard GRE or a subject specific one. But if you aren't used to writing, definately do some practice problems that they provide.
For me, I never studied a single bit for it. My major doesn't require the GRE for grad school however the actual university did. So at the last second, I had to just take it but it didn't matter what I scored. I ended up with a better score than I got on the SAT's so I wouldn't think it's too hard as long as you study. All of the subjects on it are my worse subjects (other than writing) and I still did fairly well unprepared.
.......wow, 30 more days until I leave my job and 35 until I leave for grad school. Where did the time go?
