This was a tad before my time, but I loved it. Bo Jackson was beast
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

A buddy of mine had the Sega Genesis back in the 90's. He, myself and another guy were sharing an apartment, so we were playing a season.
I had the 49ers cause I was a Jerry Rice fan having played (on the bench) receiver in high school. Dude would have three people on him and still make catches that would drive my friends crazy!
One night during a game, Rice got injured, the guys were rejoicing!
So I'm playing without my star player, another guy comes in, leans on the light switch and tweaks the game enough that it resets!
Not the season, just the injury so it was like I never lost him!
Wow, that memory is at least 22-23 years old...nostalgia
WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM my two cents...

Oh yeah! I played it a lot back in the day, now I play it online at work when I get the chance. Always play the Browns, of course.
The computer is easy to beat, so I just go for pick sixes and don't defend the run unless I have to (Bo, Marcus Allen and Walter Payton make you pay for that). Minnifield is my top threat for a pick 6.
Or I'll try to win a game with just field goals or exclusively running the ball, to make it harder.
I've played Tecmo Super Bowl, but prefer the first one.

I'm not sure if you think playing online means I play against other people, it's just a site I found that has retro sports games, one player only as far as I know. Just google 'tecmo bowl free online'.

This was a tad before my time, but I loved it. Bo Jackson was beast There were a couple players/plays that never failed.....I remember a reverse with Anthony Carter on the Vikings would almost always result in a TD or a big gain.
