Wasn't Gabriel a 2nd round Tender this year...why would he sign one year for less than the Tender amount by around 600grand??? He didn't. You either read the information wrong or are misinformed.

Given the price and our need in the secondary, would throwing #33 for Butler wet any appetites? He's a proven commodity - I guess the gamble is seeing who may fall to #33. I'm just thinking out loud - not overly keen on trading for Butler myself. It's not just the 33rd pick, it's the contract you have to pay him too. Same problem with Garoppolo.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Every player doesn't fit with every team.

Fresh off a breakout 2016 season, the unrestricted free agent signed his second-round tender worth roughly $2.8 million with the Falcons, the team announced Saturday.OK I was not wrong about the Tender.Falcons re-signed WR Taylor Gabriel to a one-year, $2.81 million contract.Ahh no didn't miss read that they forgot to put signing the TENDER in there. I don't think he signed a contract yet but has committed with signing the tender.
My mistake was for some reason thinking it was stated 2.1mil I don't know how I got that wrong I inverted the 2.81 to 2.18...oh well not as bad as you presented as a mistake...sorry to disappoint you...lol

Last I can recall since I don't pay too much attention to that team was they had a pretty under-performing offensive line.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

AP to the Saints makes some sense ... Brees is older with 1-2 years left of good football. Dome team. Lots of touches to go around. It's not a bad fit

MNF on Week 1 just got more interesting.
Saints @ Vikings.
Especially when AP goes 7 carries for 25 yards. And Latavius Murray has 20 for 150...
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

Strange. I read they guaranteed him $45k ... they really must not like him (or he did something)

And he clearly has some type of issue: Learning the play book? Route running? Attitude? (Who know, but something.) And he'd cost us the guaranteed salary, wouldn't he? No thanks. I'm more interested in seeing what Shegos, Crawley and (particularly) Moore can do.

I agree that he has some sort of issue, but I'd rather have Cannon, a player with a boatload of potential, over some guy who definitely won't make the team. We are probably wasting our time because I doubt we bring him in.

You're probably right. If we did, I believe this would apply: He’ll be subject to waivers, but it’s unlikely anyone will claim the contract and step into San Francisco’s shoes as to the $40,000 in guaranteed base salary. If someone signs Cannon as a free agent and he makes a regular-season roster, the 49ers can make back the $40,000, if the contract contains offset language on the guarantee. (It would be a shock if it didn’t.) Link I am curious what is issue is. Pretty early to cut someone with a guaranteed salary.

Not to be a jerk, but we do have Jordan Payton on our roster.
What was it?
1 catch
3 yards
1 suspension

I have absolutely no clue on Payton and what his future can be. I've stated that I didn't like the overload of WR in our draft considering it was deemed as a very weak draft class.
Two guys I did like from their development and could become keepers. Higgins...the little I did see Hall...just from the Accolades from Saunders and they went and got him back. It sounded like the praise Gabriel got early on when he was here. jmho

Maybe Higgins can be an effective pro, but Coleman is really the one we are counting on. This is a big year for his career.

Payton made a good decision going on PEDs. He had no shot in the NFL before that, but now it's at about 3%.

j/c: Ex-#Titans CB Jason McCourty had dinner with #Browns coaches & brass last night & visiting the facility today, per source. Taking a physical https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/864469047152431104

He dealt with some injuries lately that didnt have him play up to the contract $$. I would welcome the signing if he is good to go. Very experienced guy.

April 13, 2017 3:58 pm Jason McCourty: Released by Titans by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire McCourty (shoulder/chest) was released by the Titans on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
McCourty's release comes after he spent the first eight seasons of his NFL career with Tennessee. The 29-year old cornerback had 69 tackles and 12 passes defensed, including two interceptions, in 14 games played last season. His release leaves the Titans with LeShaun Sims and Logan Ryan as the team's starting corners, though they could add a rookie early on in the draft. McCourty -- now presumably past the aches and pains that he dealt with last last season -- is now a free agent and likely won't struggle finding a new club to sign with. The Patriots, who roster McCourty's twin brother Devin, are an intriguing option on that front.

McCourty I would welcome...We need a veteran corner, specially with Haden being injury prone as of late...I think McCourty could step right in and we wont miss a beat....He's nothing great, but he is a solid-good corner.

Pat McManamon thinks the Browns have had a good week signing McCourtey and Caleb Brantley having his charges dropped. http://www.espn.com/blog/cleveland-brown...week-for-browns

I agree with him. Signing McCourty can't hurt us ... it's probably not a signing that the FO typically will do, but I like it.
