Experts suspect North Korea and Iran are working together
When Iran attempted to launch a cruise missile from a “midget” submarine earlier this week, Pentagon officials saw more evidence of North Korean influence in the Islamic Republic – with intelligence reports saying the submarine was based on a Pyongyang design, the same type that sank a South Korean warship in 2010.

According to U.S. defense officials, Iran was attempting to launch a Jask-2 cruise missile underwater for the first time, but the launch failed. Nonproliferation experts have long suspected North Korea and Iran are sharing expertise when it comes to their rogue missile programs.

“The very first missiles we saw in Iran were simply copies of North Korean missiles,” said Jeffrey Lewis, a missile proliferation expert at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. “Over the years, we've seen photographs of North Korean and Iranian officials in each other's countries, and we've seen all kinds of common hardware.”

When Iran tested a ballistic missile in late January, the Pentagon said it was based on a North Korean design. Last summer, Iran conducted another missile launch similar to a North Korean Musudan, the most advanced missile Pyongyang has successful tested to date.

Defense analysts say North Korea's Taepodong missile looks almost identical to Iran's Shahab.

Un is one smart cookie to be able to take over a brutal dictatorship from dad and run it his way. Brutal Uncles and Generals would have eaten this kid alive if they could have.

Yet here he is, running his kingdom while threatening China, South Korea and America. Now we will find out if the is smart cookie enough to not get himself and his nation bombed into oblivion.

When did he ever threaten China?

China says he is a threat because if his regime goes down, China will face the brunt of millions of refugees pouring into China.

Also, because of Kim, the US and other Nations are moving heavy equipment and highly sophisticated Missile systems into South Korea that can also cover China. The excuse is to protect ourselves from Kim, but China sees it differently. They see it as a threat, caused by Kim.

In 1830, Jackson sent a warship to Charleston when South Carolina refused to follow federal law and refused to pay federal taxes on goods imported from Europe. The Warship was ready to fire if needed.
Jackson worked a deal with Congress and they cut the taxes a bit for SC's imports from Europe.
America's Civil War was averted.

Trump is willing to meet with Kim and negotiate but he is also ready to pounce.

We wait to see what Kim will choose.

I'm not so sure about that. He's obviously scared or the ambassador wouldn't have to relay that as part of the message. With China working in our corner too, he is caught between giants; not a good place to be fearless.

I actually think we will end up at war over this though, unless China can fix it. BUT if China is out of the equation as an enemy on the battlefield, I'm not so worried about NK. We will have to address this lunatic sooner or later, better before he can strike the mainland with a nuke.

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice shared her thoughts on the latest North Korean provocations and President Donald Trump's controversial remarks toward the regime's leader, Kim Jong Un.

"I think he is reckless and maybe even a little unhinged," said Rice, referring to Kim Jong Un. "But clearly they are, I think, trying to send a message that they are powerful, they're strong, they can make the United States suffer, and this is not a situation any American president can ultimately tolerate."

Asked for her thoughts on Trump's remark that Kim Jong Un was a "a pretty smart cookie,"Rice replied: "Well, he is a smart cookie ... he obviously knows what he's doing."

In addition to touching on the comments that were viewed as "very disturbing" by US lawmakers, Rice also discussed Trump's openness to hold talks with the North Korean leader. To date, no sitting US president has ever held a meeting with a current leader of the Hermit Kingdom.

"Look, the president of the United States can't meet with Kim Jong Un,"Rice said."And certainly not under these circumstances."

"There may come a day if North Korea gives up its nuclear weapons program ... that having North Korea back into the community of states or in the community of states would be worthwhile — [we're] clearly not there."

Rice's remarks come after North Korea announced that it had detained another US citizen on Sunday, a professor who worked at Pyongyang University of Science and Technology — this time on suspicion of "hostile acts" against the state, according to North Korea's propaganda news outlet. The professor marks the fourth US citizen to be imprisoned by the regime.

I like and respect Condi Rice but she is a creature of Politics and Protocol.

Trump is not a politician and could care less about protocol.
He will meet with anyone, anytime if he can negotiate a deal.

Trump has proven himself to be every bit of a politician as the rest of them.
