Remember when people were mega bent out of shape for losing him? Looks like we made the right call. He retired yesterday due to multiple concussions at 28 years old.

hope he has a healthy life. it sucks seeing that sometimes those players have problems when they get older.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

It's a wise move by him... he just took too many big hits to the head. Life goes WAY beyond football.

I pray that he will not have mental problems due to the concussions.
I remember when he was drafted, and more people hated the pick. It seems to me that I didn't love the pick either. However, from a talent standpoint, he was an excellent TE. He could burn almost any defense.

Remember when people were mega bent out of shape for losing him? No, but I remember when people were mega bent out of shape if people questioned how good he would become. It's fun to play dirty, isn't it?

Do I remember right that when were about to draft him, we called Cameron Jordan by mistake and he was like "but I've already been drafted!"

You are correct.
Such a shame. The guy had talent, and seemed to be a good dude. Constantly injured, though. He was the sports car that was constantly at the mechanic getting fixed for one thing or another.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

This is why I wasn't all that upset as others were when we didn't retain him. I said he was a concussion or two away from likely retirement, that's what happened.
Sad, he had good talent and never caused any troubles off the field. Best of luck to Jordan.

Remember when people were mega bent out of shape for losing him? Looks like we made the right call. He retired yesterday due to multiple concussions at 28 years old. Technically we didn't make the call. We offered him a contract, which if I recall, was reported to be excepted, then the next thing you knew was he signed basically the same deal with Miami.
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

No state income tax in Florida. Not really the same deal. He made more money there. IIRC

Cameron is/was an athletic freak. Crazy to think that in 2013 he had 80 receptions for 917 yards and 7 TDs for us. That is crazy good production from the tight end spot.

I had got excited about him after seeing him on the field. Shame he had all those concussions.
When he left here I was not bent out of shape as we all knew he had the multiple Concussions. It turned out to be a move that didn't bite us.
Right now I just hope he's OK and can recover from the damage caused. Imagine if we didn't have Concussion protocol. The guys brains would be soup by now.
GOOD LUCK AND GOOD HEALTH Cameron.
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!

True, but at the time it was hard to see the serious nature of his concussion problem. I hope he doesn't have serious problems later in life. I think he made the right decision.

I was okay with letting Jordan walk, I cited his health concerns before he even signed with Miami. I believe he's made the right decision for him on a personal standpoint.
