Turns Out Not Everybody is Kung Fu Fighting... The Browns won’t retain taekwondo expert and member of their development staff Joe Kim, the Akron Beacon Journal reported Sunday. Kim was hired last March for his third stint with his hometown team. He worked with the old Browns from 1992-95 as an assistant strength coach and pass-rush specialist in his first NFL job, then returned to the Browns in the same role for two seasons when they returned to the league in 1999. Kim’s title last season was strength and conditioning/skills development coach. From 2001-12 he served as a pass rush consultant for various NFL teams, and prior to his most recent stint with the Browns he was on the strength and conditioning staffs in Chicago and Washington. Kim is a 7th Dan Black Belt recognized by the World Taekwondo Federation, Kukkiwon and USA Taekwondo and is a former national taekwondo champion and Pan Am Games medalist.

I think this type of training can be really important in developing leverage and learning to redirect an opponents power. I hope that he's replaced with a similar teacher like Jay Glazer who teaches NFL players MMA leverage and hand striking.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I remember when he was hired people thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. lol
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

What the hell, is so damn special about sliced bread? It's just bread no matter how you slice it!
WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM my two cents...

What the hell, is so damn special about sliced bread? It's just bread no matter how you slice it! Until you actually start slicing it and end up with slices 1/2 inch at the top and 1/16 inch at the bottom and the rest of the loaf is squashed after 2-3 slicings. Not to mention someone before you had jelly on their hand and left it all over the crust.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. GM Strong

LOL...........but again, this team does not know what continuity means. I thought analytics helped choose this guy? Everyone was so high on him last year.
More of the same old crap. Fire the old guy. Hire a new guy and talk big. Fire him a year or two later. Hire a new guy. Talk big. Blah, blah, blah.
The Browns suck.

LOL Man IDK there are fans that still stick up for Holmgren and he was the one that really started the downward spiral to what we see on the field now.
Congratulations to our 2016 NBA Champion CLEVELAND CAVALIERS!!! Greatest comeback in sports history... Hail to the King!
The great QB guru and the Moneyball group: 1-15 Record of Criminal Haslam owned Browns: 20-60 (0.250)

I remember when he was hired people thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. lol No, people thought the concept was very smart... and it is. Speaking of sliced bread, you know what is NOT the best thing since sliced bread? Betty White, because she was born before sliced bread.

Haslam is so cheap. I heard he rented a copy of Ip Man from Redbox to be Kim's replacement.

JK was a Strength and Conditioning/Skills Development coach.
The Browns had 5 injured QB's this season... Whats to discuss ? Linemen need to block.. Not fight.. I didn't like the hire from the beginning.
There were many holding penalties called due to lack of technique..
Kim is a specialist on head-height kicks, jumping and spinning kicks, and fast kicking techniques.
When in the hell was an Offensive lineman allowed to Spin kick the D lineman...lol...what a bad move to hire him. Glad he's gone.
Time to teach the old ways of knocking the D line on his ass with good old strength with the elbows..

Really ? how good was our D line ? Bad. Just saying, he coached the defensive line, not the offensive line.

I know... but he was a strength and conditioning coach. His title was not defensive line coach..

All I know is that there were posters who were gushing over such a great "analytical" choice last year.
This crap always happens. Posters hate the old guy and love the new guy. A year or two later, they hate that old guy and love the new guy.
The Merry-Go-Round of Misery never stops!
