Since there have been a lot of transactions, trade rumors, and compensatory projections, I thought I'd make a thread people can reference for what picks the Browns are expected to have.

Expected compensatory selections:
3rd round (Alex Mack) traded to Pats for Jamie Collins
4th Round A (Tashaun Gipson) traded to Eagles in Wentz trade
4th Round B (Mitchell Schwartz)
5th Round (Travis Benjamin)

2017 Picks acquired via trade:
1st Round #12 acquired in Wentz trade
2nd Round #50 acquired in Conklin trade
5th round Pats acquired in Mingo trade
7th Round Colts* acquired in Billy Winn trade - Unclear if conditions were met for this conditional 2017 pick

2017 picks traded away:
7th Round (Andy Lee)
7th Round Colts* acquired in Billy Winn trade - Traded in the Ksey Redfern / Andy Lee swap where we got CAR's 2018 4th

So that leaves us with:
1st 1
1st 12 (Phi)
2nd 33^
2nd 50 (Tenn)
3rd 65
4th 106^
4th 141 (comp)
5th 146
5th 177 (Pats)
5th 181 (comp)
6th 186

All pick numbers after the third round are approximate pending the exact comp picks awarded.

For those curious, we also have the Eagles' 2018 2nd round pick and Panthers 2018 4th round pick.

5 picks in the top 65 in a very top heavy draft is awesome. You should get 4 starters out of those picks in this draft.

Thanx steve, there is really a lack of information on our selections.

I have seen nany who don't give us the 1st pick in the 4th round (106).

Also I have seen the Titians pick in the 2nd listed as 50th-53rd pick.

Yeah that 1st pick in the fourth would go to New England if we aren't awarded a third for Alex Mack

Isn't that 3rd comp pick pretty much a gimmie or am I mistaken?

It's believed to be a third round pick based on previous years awards, but there are a lot more 3rd rounders expected to be awarded (9) than in years past (usually 3 or 4).

I might as well add this since it is pretty complicated.

If Mack rates a 4th Round Comp pick that pick would go to Philadelphia instead of the pick that we get for Gipson. They get the highest 4th round comp pick.

So the way it stands now:

3rd and 4th round picks:
#65 ours
3rd round comp (goes to N.E.)
#106 ours
comp pick 4A (goes to Phil)
comp pick 4B ours
5th round ours

Would become:
#65 ours
#106 NE
4A comp goes to Phil
4B ours
4C ours
5th round ours

So we wont have pick 106 either way?

Okay I went back and read your post again. I missed the "Comp Pick", before the Eagles pick from us.

Still can help ourselves a great deal. Williams will make defensive picks worthwhile I hope (and believe!).

Starters isn't good enough. We need 2 studs. We've drafted starters before, then we put them in beside our other marginal starters and as a unit, it isn't very good. The other 3 can be just solid starters.

The Browns have had so many picks over the years. Yet here we are 1-15. Once again loaded with cap space and a bunch of high picks.

It is my sincerest hope is that we get this right.

I wish I was enthusiastic about our evaluation process.

If we can hit on the quarterback and a pass rusher I would be thrilled. And I mean hit. True franchise guys.

Then it would be gravy to just upgrade talent and depth overall. Guys who can become legit starters.

I dream of a winning season. Stinking nine wins.
