 Los Angeles woke up to a New Year surprise when they discovered pranksters had changed the Hollywood sign to read 'Hollyweed'. The prank is an echo of a near-identical alteration made exactly 41 years ago by the late Danny Finegood. The art student and his team of helpers changed the sign on January 1 in 1976 - the same year the US state of California relaxed its marijuana laws. The state legalized the drug last November. It is not known if the 2017 alteration is related in any way to the original. That had to take some time to finish wonder where the cops were Not really. It took some careful planning and quick execution. The two O's had to be wrapped a little at the 4:00 o'clock point, and two white panels had to be attached to turn the O's into e's. Look at the pic carefully. Blow it up, and you can see how easy and quick it could be. I think it could be done in 15-20 minutes.
