Anyone play it yet?

I play sports games by the season, when I watch that sport, it makes me want to play that game. So I'm not into basketball mode just yet..

However, 2k16, while great, seemed off.

They added a lot of little things to Assocation, which is what I play mostly, but I don't know, the feel of it is different. And I don't like it..

When I play sports games, I want to take a team and build them up over time, and then move on to the next challenge.

Myplayer is occasionally fun, but gets boring.

I have no interest in any platforms Ultimate Team. Which is all anyone cares about improving nowadays..

I like playing Dynasty type modes too, but I've found the "Player Career" mode fun at times as well. I guess it depends on the game that year. I remember playing FIFA 08 exclusively in Dynasty Mode then in '12 I played almost entirely in Player Career. Dynasty Mode felt flat for some reason. Now I have FIFA 16 and I'm back to playing Dynasty Mode again.

Same applies to the 2K games and previously NCAA games as well. I guess it's up to what feels like fun new features for each mode. I'll try them both and stick to whichever feels like the better challenge. I got 2K14, but Dynasty Mode wasn't that fun because the Cavs were already loaded. It was much more fun creating a 7'3 Center and manipulating my way to the Cavs roster to win a championship. In FIFA 16, I tried MyPlayer, but it just felt like I couldn't get my new guy off the ground quick enough. I found it much more fun to take an English League 2 team and grind them up to the Champions League.

I agree with you about the Ultimate Team though. It just seems like a money dump for people who want to "collect cards" and buy their way to a super-team. It's much more fun to do it the challenging way in Dynasty Mode.
