why? because this guy takes a beating like no other and still comes back to win. Edger vs Maynard all three fights supports that imo. this guy takes so much punishment and rallies back to to win and or knock the other guy out.
side notes: I also like the Diaz brothers, Diego Sanchez, Anthony "Rumble" Johnson. lol I could add a few more, but that is another thread or later in this one.
I bet you're wondering the samething I did, why O' why didn't I take the...blue pill
For me it would be Matt Hughes and Carlos Condit. Hughes because he is just a good ole country boy, But Condit is a fighting machine! I still believe he beat Lawler.
Anderson Silva. He's gettin' old now, but to me? He was the Muhammad Ali of UFC. Keeping his hands down while against the ropes, daring people to him? Pure showmanship.
And because I respect the hell out of a dude who wins a championship like that, goes back to work, and then defends that same belt in front of his hometown.
He just seems like a really cool down to earth dude. So happy for him, although he loses points because he went to North and not Euclid, haha.
I loved CroCop, and I quote "Left leg cemetery, right leg funeral" how bad a$$ is that? His kicks were a thing of beauty, so much power, so accurate, I trained for many many years so I know how much work he has to put in and its pretty much a lifefime of martial arts and a god given power.
Recent stuff is kinda boring, I watch/root for Matt Brown because we are from the same Muay thai gym, and we sparred a lot. I know he was going to make it to the UFC, dude would still train with a broken jaw.
I do like Aldo because he is striking is top notch, mighty mouse is just too good so his fights are kinda boring.
Hunt is my favorite heavy weight. Dude got the hardest chin ever and his punching power is top notch.. fun fact (I think) a K1 promotor found him after he beat up a bunch of people when he was a bouncer at a club.
I think the best fighter of all time was "The last emperor" Fedor, his striking put so much fear into people, there is still not a better striker then him IMO, every punch was 1000% aggression and brute force, and he was so quick. He pretty much was unbeatable for a long time and beat the crap out of everyone, big, small, strong, legend, champions, it didn't matter. Until he lost( Werdum or big foot silva), he dominated every last person, he was never down on the cards, he either beat the crap out of you, submitted you because he was beating the crap out of you or Knocked you the F out.
Please watch this highlight of Fedor, just look at his striking... It's nuts, its not traditional striking, you are not taught to throw punches like that because it does't work lol
