I am after any information on Money leagues for the upcoming NFL season.

Last year I played a number of leagues at Antsports, but it seems that website is having a few problems! Can anyone recommend a money league that they play in?

I am also interested in so called 'Dynasty' leagues but am unsure of the difference between this and a Keeper league? Does anyone play in these leagues?

I would also love to play in any leagues that you people create - be that yahoo or whatever, so if any of you are having trouble filling up your leagues then please keep me in mind!

Thanks for your help

Dynasty you keep your entire team that you draft, where as keepers you only keep a few guys.

I have never had a problem with CBSsportsline, I have heard people who have had problems, but i have been using them for 5 years and never once had a problem. I use them for baseball also and wuold never switch.

CBSsportline is the way to go. I've also used them for several years for both football and baseball. This year I joined a yahoo baseball league and that will never happen again. CBSsportline is the only league I will use. JMO.

I am a big fan of www.fanball.com and their commissioner league - http://www.fanball.com/commissioner/index.cfm. Have been with them for 4-5 years, it's nice because they keep records, etc. from leagues past, including old owners who aren't in your league anymore.

I highly recommend them.

I like the leagues over at MFL. (myfantasyleague). I've also come across a new FF site (www.fantasyfanbase.com) which has a few new free dynasty and keeper leagues forming there. If you're looking for a place to start, that place isn't too bad. A lot of football talk going on over there.

I did myfantasyleague 3-5 years ago. Not bad, but they seemed to be about 2-3 years behind in the technology of the site. Haven't checked it out since.

I did a fantasy draft that turned out pretty well considering I had the last pick in a 10 person draft...

QB - Rivers/Kitna
RB - Bush
RB - Westbrook
WR - Randy Moss
WR - Wayne
WR - Santonio Holmes
TE - Kellen Winslow
K - Jason Elam
DEF - Oakland

The New Fantasy Football Rules --- this is good...

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/060721

You're not allowed to complain about four things in life: nudity, free food, free drinks and fantasy football.

PROBLEM: Nobody can pull off a schmuck-free league.

Look, the duties of an owner are simple: Don't bring your girlfriend/wife to the draft; don't draft someone that was already drafted; don't draft an injured guy (leading your buddies to be thrust into an awkward position of either screwing you or giving you a do-over); try to field a competitive team; create an offensive team name; start a lineup of healthy players every week; return e-mails or phone calls within 24 hours unless you're trapped under something; and, when all else fails, at least come up with an occasional funny e-mail or message-board post.

But what about owners who bring nothing to the table and do a terrible job with their team? For whatever reason, it's less awkward for guys to dump a girlfriend than to discard a deadbeat fantasy owner. There's always some crazy reason to keep him around, like "It would be awkward for the commissioner to run into him at work" or "Let's cut him some slack, he's going through a divorce." Ridiculous. We already have to deal with too much dead weight in real life, we don't need it in our fantasy lives.

SOLUTION: The "three strikes and you're out" rule.

Here's how it works: During the draft, if you don't make any jokes and sit there looking like Mike Holmgren watching the Super Bowl XL video, that's a strike. If you repeatedly take too long to make picks, to the point that everyone is screaming 12-letter expletives every time you're on the clock, that's a strike. If more than twice you draft someone who was already drafted, because you aren't paying attention, that's a strike. If you draft an injured guy (leading to the aforementioned "should we or shouldn't we give him a do-over" intervention), that's a strike. If you spend the entire draft whispering on your cell phone to some unseen partner and ignoring everyone in the room, that's a strike. If you're too cheap to buy your own magazines and ask to borrow someone else's, that's a strike. If you forgot to bring money to the draft, that's a strike.

But wait, there's more. After the draft, if you don't return an e-mail or a phone call within 72 hours and can't come up with a valid excuse, that's a strike. If you go more than a month without sending a group e-mail or making a message-board post that belittles the credentials of someone else in the league, that's a strike. If you belatedly respond to someone's e-mail or phone call with a snarky comment like "Sorry I took so long to respond -- some of us actually have jobs" or "Just in case you forgot, there are more important things in life than fantasy football," that's a strike. If you started someone who's out for the season, or if you didn't use the waiver wire to try to replace that person, that's a strike. If you make a horrendously shady trade, even, if it gets overturned, that's still a strike. Three strikes and you're out. Simple as that.

(One other note: If you don't show up for the draft, can't do it by phone and have the gall to send a lackey with some half-assed list you make to pick your team, that's three strikes. Go away.)

I play for money. I use Antsports.com and they have a number of different entry fees ranging from a trophy league (about $13) all the way up to a $1,000 leagues. They also offer redraft or keeper leagues. The payout % increases with the fees.

Do you play money leagues?

I play on Yahoo.com, and like it. I always wonder how closely they monitor it though. It is a free legue so I always assumed that meant no betting. So we don't discuss payouts etc. Last year I had some new owners who didn't aswer emails, and then said they didn't know about the payout (which is pretty lame). If I could have posted it in the yahoo board where our rankings etc were I easily could have made it clear. Plus I like a weekly payout for the highest point total each week as that way everyone has a chance every week to get $10 even if they suck.

There is no matching CBS for Football or Baseball. They can lack some options at times, but every year it gets better and the live scoring is amazing.
