Schools are far more segregated now than they were before Brown v. Board of Education.

Fun fact:
Cleveland Ohio is #2 most segregated city in America. Between 1-3 depending on which sources suits your style best.

I went to a fully desegregated school in Tampa FL for 11th grade. (1973)
Leto High School.
Since I was a "new kid", I had no allies.
Two things about my year at Leto High:
1) I suddenly went from a C-D student in Cleveland to an A-B student at Leto. (without changing my non-existent study habits - just by being junior high school literate)
2) I constantly experienced criminal racism. The Boys Rooms were dangerous (for me).

I truly don't think we did enough to ease the transition to desegregation for both sides.

Trying to ease something like that would've given too much time for the potential of a reversal.
There was gonna be no ease in transition anyway.
On top of that, were "suppose" to have been easing into it since the civil war. You'd think 90 damn years would've been more than enough time.
