I don't know... I know I don't wear my new Hdaen jersey in public or at work on Browns day because I just simply am embarrassed to do so.
If only he could find a way to start the season strong, I don't know maybe get an INT game opener and just get into that "flow" that we've all, whether you wish to admit or not, know he's capable of doing. He's covered people as tight as glue. He's leaped into outer space for an INT (remember on Green?) He's made some tips to others players and some to himself resulting in aerobatic catches.
It just he needs to start that sooner and more importantly - stay healthy.
And hey guys... let's just be real here - Horton got Haden to his first pro bowl. Horton is back... GET IT DONE JOE!

Good point..............I think Horton really challenged Haden and the latter had his best year under Horton.
But...........something tells me that all is not what it seems w/Joe. I would not be so sure the Browns can count on him going forward.

Joe Haden will miss offseason program after ankle surgery Posted by Mike Florio on March 18, 2016, 6:14 PM EDT The Cleveland Browns have seen several key players leave in the past week and a half. Another key player won’t be available to the Browns for several more months. The Browns have announced that cornerback Joe Haden has undergone ankle surgery. The procedure is associated with an injury that happened in Week Eight of the 2015 season. According to the team, Haden is expected to return to action “during” training camp. This means he’ll miss all of the offseason program, and part of training camp. Haden was inactive for eight games last season due to injury, including a concussion that caused him to be placed on injured reserve in December. He enters the seventh season of his career with a salary of $10.1 million and a cap number of $13.4 million. link ...aaahhh, why wait 2.5 months, then decide to have surgery?
Maybe Haden thought he was gonna be out the door too.

Or, he was hoping it would heal and surgery was a last resort. Not everything is a conspiracy.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

True, I guess we can always hope (pray) for a quick recovery. Geeze Louise this is the longest running reality train wreck I have ever watched. I can just about guarantee there is a whole lot of this going on in both the Front office as well as with the fans.

Browns CB Joe Haden recovering from ankle surgery
By Chris Wesseling Around the NFL Writer Published: March 18, 2016 at 06:18 p.m. Updated: March 18, 2016 at 07:36 p.m.
One of the Cleveland Browns' most accomplished defensive stars is in danger of missing the entire offseason.
Veteran cornerback Joe Haden underwent surgery on his left ankle on Wednesday.
Haden is scheduled to resume football activities during training, the team announced on Friday. He's expected to be ready for the start of the 2016 season in early September.
A Pro Bowl selection in 2013 and 2014, Haden's 2015 season was ravaged by rib, finger, ankle and concussion injuries. He was placed on injured reserve in mid-December, finally clearing the NFL's concussion protocol on January 12.
The timing of the surgery suggests the ankle injury lingered longer than Haden and the Browns' medical staff expected.
If there's one positive for Haden this offseason, it's that he already knows new coordinator Ray Horton's system after playing in the same defense three years ago. Horton was the coordinator under former Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski in 2013, when Haden turned in his finest season.

we shouldn't even be considering trading or cutting away one of our best players. that's all i have to say about that. I laughed out loud before realizing the post is 4 months old.

I can understand the argument for a Joe Thomas trade (although I admit that I don't like them…I too want to keep JT). However, no matter what, I think we need to keep Joe Haden and that he has to be part of our new plan. Cornerback is arguably the toughest position on defense and possibly second only to QB on the team….Haden has proven himself. Last year was shocking but, he was injured and when he did play he was a shadow of his former self. Don't judge the man on last year. His body of work speaks for itself.

...unreal...rather than start a new thread I remembered that there was already a thread about Haden..took a little time, found it and posted a Joe Haden story in a Joe Haden thread...rather than start another thread about the same player.
...yep, that's worth a laugh..really.

The performance Haden turned in looked like an aging veteran who had lost a step or two. Teams had no fear of Haden, going his way often.
Hopefully the surgery has been done soon enough so it's no problem once the season starts for real. I would hate to Haden picked on like he was last season.

He was laughing at what Swish said. He even quoted it. we shouldn't even be considering trading or cutting away one of our best players. that's all i have to say about that. Get it? He thought Swish was saying we shouldn't cut or trade our players when we have already lost players. Then, he realized that Swish's posts was from a long time ago. Did you two and Daman all go to school together?

I think something is up w/Haden. I think his play has regressed severely after he got paid. I would have rather traded him and kept Gipson. Not sure what he will give the Browns going forward.

Joe Haden has "unexpected" ankle surgery, 'should be ready' for start of 2016
By Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland.com Follow on Twitter on March 18, 2016 at 6:30 PM, updated March 18, 2016 at 6:40 PM
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Joe Haden, the Browns' shutdown corner, underwent surgery on his left ankle Wednesday, but "should'' be ready for the start of the 2016 season, the club said in a release.
Haden, who underwent the surgery in Charlotte, North Carolina by Dr. Robert Anderson, is also "expected to resume football activities during training camp'' the release said. That means the Browns are making no promises.
Haden, who finished the season on injured reserve with a serious concussion, suffered the ankle injury during a Week 8 home game against the Cardinals, but it didn't start bothering him until he began working out again recently.
Haden started only five games in 2015 and was inactive for eight with various injuries including the concussion, a broken finger, the ankle and a rib injury. He was placed on injured reserve on Dec. 14 after not clearing the NFL's concussion protocol. Haden cleared the tests on Jan. 12, 2016.
The loss of Haden for most of last season was a huge blow, especially considering that 2014 No. 8 overall pick Justin Gilbert was a huge disappointment for the second straight year and started only one game.
If Haden isn't ready for the start of the season, the Browns could be in dire straights. They also lost starting free safety Tashaun Gipson to the Jaguars in free agency.
Entering his seventh season, the No. 7 pick in the 2010 NFL Draft and two-time Pro Bowler has started 68 of 77 games and compiled 16 interceptions with the Browns. link

I'm concerned. His game is reliant on speed and quickness. Any surgery to a leg joint stands to permanently effect speed and quickness. Joe is not getting any younger too.

Ever since the "reported" fight between Haden and the FO last season before the San Diego game (remember when he was an unexpected scratch?) he's never been the same
He was HORRENDOUS last season, then there were rumors of the money laundering, fighting with staff, and disinterested attitude.
yeah, he's definitely not the same person as he was two years ago.
Time will tell
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

The team released news that cornerback Joe Haden underwent surgery on his left ankle this past Wednesday, this after he injured the ankle during the Browns loss at home to the Cardinals back in week eight.

Between a rock and a hard plate there. Lots of money dangling out, little to no production to show for it. If we wanted a crap corner that cannot man press, we could've kept Leon McFadden or we could just play Justin even. We have tons of crap options available Haden, so you need to separate yourself from the stinking pile of dung. No more slow starts or just not picking it up at all. Paying ya too much to be a backseat bum.

Patrick Peterson just listed his top valued defensive backs. Guess who didn't even make his "just missed the cut" list? He listed a nickel CB from Denver over Joe lol. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000...e-backs-in-2016

Joe Haden should not be on anybody's top cornerback list after last season. With that said, he is fully capable of coming back and being a very good player.
