Again it looks like the election is going to be the lesser of two evils. Gary Johnson could be the guy you are looking for. What do you all think it will take before we start getting other parties involved? http://www.ontheissues.org/Gary_Johnson.htm

I think it would take two major candidates running under a different party that ISNT under the umbrella of democrat or republican.
So basically there's needs to be 4 candidates, all viable, going into Election Day.
This election would've potentially served that purpose. Had the main ticket be Kasich vs Clinton, and then had trump and sanders running as well, THAT is what would've kick start a political awaken, if you will. A political reform.
It starts with trying to form a viable third party. The problem is ideology, and trying to figure out party line stances that aren't already covered under the democrat or Republican Party.
You would have to figure out issues that aren't just another fence riding party like Libertarians

If the Republicans screw Trump and Cruz at the Convention, don't be surprised to see them join forces and run as a third Party.
Republocrats has a nice ring to it.

40, all that will end up happening is that you'll split the votes with the GOP. Hilary might as well get sworn in right now.
In order for that to work, y'all NEED somebody like sanders running as an independent from the other side.
And that name wouldn't work. Too many jokes with the letters "pub" in it.

When only Blacks and a handful of Women show up to actually vote for Hillary, that third party just might surprise you.

Only something like 17% of Latinos view trump favorably.
You're gonna be splitting votes with your parent party. The democrats won't split votes if nobody on our side is running as an independent.
This is like politics 101. Don't split the votes.

Republocrats has a nice ring to it. They would not have the time to get on all 50 state ballots. Plus, they would not have the experienced local officials to organize get out the vote campaigns and so forth. Maybe in the next election someone could come forth on both sides and start or just organize a national 3rd or 4th Party ...... but I just don't see it happening now. If Trump and Cruz somehow teamed up (which I see happening .... never) they would probably have enough delegates at the convention to do whatever they wanted on the 1st ballot.

I don't know if they could or not but the Republicans already have a significant infrastructure set up in all 50 states, every major city, etc.. they could mobilize a lot quicker than some composite run at a 3rd party.
