Arizona/Carolina is going to be a great game. I honestly have no idea who's going to win.
I give the slight advantage to Arizona, they seem like a more complete team.. And there are few players that preform better than Larry Fitzgerald in the playoffs..
Denver/New England seemed like an easy pick a month ago. New England was going to waltz to home field advantage. A few losses later and the game is in Denver.
The game, IMO, is Brady versus that defense. I'm not saying they have to shut him down completely, but if NE can score more than 20, I cant see the Broncos offense being able to keep up. It'd help if Denver's WRs would hold onto the ball though..
I really dont want to have to watch the Patriots in another SB.
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

i think Carolina pushes through to the SB.
as of right now, Cam is the only QB on any of these 4 remaining teams that has a passing threat and a running threat, as far as QB mobility.
their defense....best between the 4.
i think Carson has a bad game against the panthers secondary.
as far as the AFC....eh...because i'm a huge TJ Ward fan, i'll take the broncos, simply because i'm tired of seeing the patriots.

Of the four teams remaining, I dislike the Broncos the most. Sure the "Manning wins a ring and then retire" angle would be nice to see, but we'll all be so sick and tired of it by Wednesday of next week. That and I don't really care for any of the other players on Denver, outside of Ward.
I suppose I'll be rooting for the Pats to win. I know the Patriots are one of the most disliked teams, but they just don't bother me. I used to be irritated that Bill, a coach we had, is regarded as one of the greatest head coaches of all time AND we passed on selecting Tom Brady for Spergon Wynn, but I've gotten over those little fun facts. Boston doesn't need another title, but I don't really care anymore. Tom's cool, Gronk is fun, their offense is fast, and it'll be fun to see Goodell shake Brady's hand on stage at the 50 while Roger is STILL trying to suspend him over deflategate (which has been going on for 1 FULL FREAKING YEAR!!!).
As for the NFC, that's where it gets hard. I like/dislike both teams the same. They're both teams that have been to a Super Bowl but haven't won one. If one of them wins, it makes us look worse, but who really cares and we can't look much worse anyway. I think I like the one-man super power Cam story more than the wily old vet Carson Palmer getting to the Super Bowl. Plus, if Carson played nervous last week, what's he going to play like this week?
I would like to see each game be high scoring and go into overtime if possible.
Speaking of OT, I don't know if these numbers are truly 100% accurate, I read on another board that there have been 68 overtime games using the current OT system and the record for the team getting the ball first is 34-31-3. And only 12 of those 34 wins were TDs on the first possession. That means roughly 82% of the time, the team not getting the ball first gets their own possession in OT. So all the Packer players and fans complaining that they didn't get a chance in OT in Zona need to shut up. 56 other teams played defense well enough to force a punt, made FG, missed FG, fumble, interception, safety, or loss of downs on the first possession. If you can't do that, you don't deserve a possession in OT.
The more and more I watch the OT in college, I can't stand it. It feels like a free throw contest or NHL shootout. At least the NFL OT feels like real football, IMO.
Official Predictions (not what I want to happen): NE and Zona

Asked today about Brady needing just two seconds per pass in last week’s game against the Chiefs, Miller said that would be enough time for him to do some damage.
"You said two seconds? Sometimes I only need one," Miller said with a laugh Love me some Von Miller. Dangerous fella right there, very dangerous. Here's my winner predictions: NE ARI

I can get behind anybody winning the SB except the Patriots.. just because I'm tired of them. I like Cam, plus they are local and I have some good friends who are loyal fans.. Cards, I would love to see Fitz get a ring. He is what all pro athletes should strive to be. Denver, couldn't get upset about Manning getting another ring and riding off into the sunset. Patriots.. can't think of a single compelling reason to want them to win..

I'm rooting for the Cards just because I feel like Palmer got a raw deal ever since that Bengals v Stoolers playoff game.
Dude became a journeyman after that, but if the Bungles kept him, they might've become a powerhouse.
Seeing Palmer succeed after Cincy would be nice. Go Cards.

either way, the NFL gets it's dream: either Brady/Belichick make it or Manning makes it

If you go into the top of the 10th and you hold them scoreless or give up 1 run, then you get to bat... if you give up 2 or more runs, the game is over.... and we can flip to see who gets to bat first, otherwise it wouldn't be fair to the home team.

I think Carolina will beat Arizona because I just don't trust Palmer. He was very shaky against Green Bay and he is playing against an opportunistic defense in Carolina. Otherwise, both teams are similarly matched.
I think NE will beat Denver because Manning has lost it while Brady has not. Also, the Pats are as healthy as they have been all season. I think New England will use Gronk a ton because who is going to cover him? Ward can't, which means they will have to use other guys to contain Gronk and that will open up the quick passing game to guys like Edelman and should free the backs up in the flat.

I'd like to see NE win. I don't like Denver at all for obvious reasons. I like both Carolina and Arizona so I have no preference there.

There is an article at the top of NFL.com called "The Real Title Game?" with a picture of the Panthers and the Cardinals... Because that's what Belichick needs, more "us against the non-believers" motivation.

The home team almost always wins the championship game. Since the 85/86 season, the home team has won 63% of the time. Not sure if that clarifies as "almost always" though. 19/30 in the NFC 19/30 in the AFC I thought the percentage would be higher. And I didn't expect both conferences to match each other.

I'm rooting for Denver to lose and then the NFC beating the snot out of New England in the Superbowl.

I would love to be able to root for Bruce Arians, and frankly, I won't be too upset if his team wins the Super Bowl for him, but I just cannot cheer for a carpetbagger team.

Am I to assume "carpetbagger" is a term for Dome team?
Theyre in Arizona. Its probably nicer outside than it is in their stadium..
And if they can go INTO Carolina and win? Does being a Dome team matter?
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

Carpetbagger is a team that has picked up and abandoned their fan base. (Like Modell's Ravens did) I just can't cheer for a team that screws its fans over.

I think the key to the NFC game lies with Carson Palmers index finger on his throwing hand. In last weeks game he missed many throws badly that he rarely ever misses. That finger injury is giving him fits.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Cards had 3 WRs with over 50 catches and 800 yards each.
