How we feeling about that? It was always going to happen. Trump is Only about loyalty and fealty Trump. If anyone thinks Trump is going to show any restraint or respect norms etc. you're going to be sadly disappointed. He's a despicable human being and i expect him to act just like a spoiled King through out his 2nd reign

It’s like severance. They’ll go right back to it with no real perspective. I had a convo with a MAGA relative asking how he would feel pardoning all of them if they were Antifa or blue haired progressives doing THE EXACT same thing and he just avoided and dodged and then ultimately lied and said he’d be good pardoning them all. I Locked eyes with him and we both knew he was lying for the convenience of his argument but I’m pretty sure he successfully banished the thought the second the convo ended. The sheer number of people who live like the show severance, just utterly unable and unwilling to try to flex their perspective always amazes and disappoints me.

Scott Jennings and Van Jones had a back and forth on the topic last night. Scott Jennings brought up the point that he thought their lives had been ruined enough.
Van countered that by saying there were still red lines and that actions should have consequences. He brought up how he was the son of a police officer and this involved police officers who were attacked, experienced violence, and one of whom died as a result. Scott did agree with him that he did not condone that and stayed silent in the notion that people who initiate an attack on law enforcement should not be pardoned.
I’d like to hear from the other side what their thoughts are. So far, FATE is the only one who seems to engage substantively on these matters, though, which I appreciate.
