We should make all efforts to get him out of that place, then drop him in Guantanamo where the conditions are much nicer. At that point, determine once and for all if the guy is a banger or not
What you're describing here aligns much closer to what Russia does with its accused. The main difference is that Russia gives them a trial (it's a sham, but appears to be more what the Maryland guy got).
It's wild that MAGA can parrot lines like "I don't even recognize this country" and "we need to save this country" but are totally fine with things like due process and checks and balances being erroded/destroyed.
Maybe the guy was a gangbanger, maybe he wasn't (as his lawyer argues). At this point IT DOESN'T MATTER. This admin has a well established track record of treating the core pillars of our democracy and rights of its people as inconveniences.
If erroneously deporting people to a Salvardoran prison and then just going "oops, oh well" is fine with you.... we're probably not going to agree on a whole lot if we can't agree on core values... you should also consider what could happen when the elections swing way over the other way (which always happens) and we find ourselves being governed by MAGA's biggest boogiemen after showing how unimportant these core values/guardrails really are.
