The particular one I am interested in right now is the "Windshield Wonder."
Windshield Wonder link

Anyone tried this? Does it work? Does it work well or just so-so? Cleaning the inside of a windshield can be a real pain and I'm curious as to whether or not this one is worth trying.

How about any other "as seen on tv" products? Which ones have you tried and which ones do you like?

We bought the "Slap Chop" not too long ago, and it works fairly well but not as well as on the TV ad. Years ago I got the Banjo Minnow fishing system and wasn't impressed.....but the Snuggies we got do work as advertised.

Here's their main site with a gazillion products:
web page

Which ones have you tried???

Not lately.

I bought a veg-a-matic years ago..it wasn't bad.

The bamboo steamer was a pile of junk....

My Foreman Grill still gets used when i feel like a Cuban sandwich.

When I was 12 I bought a pair of x-ray glasses I saw advertised in the back of some magazine....they didn't work...one of the great disappointments of my young life.

That windshield cleaner has some possibilities.

Thats windshield cleaner thing does look like a good idea if it works as advertised. I saw it at Walgreens the other day on their " AS SEEN ON TV" shelf and plan on getting it.

I did buy a Majic Jack not to long ago and it works awesome. $39 to buy it and that includes your first year of service and then $19 per year thereafter. Cant beat it for home phone service.

That particular windshield one I don't know about, there is one that has more of a triangle head on it, making getting into the corners easier. I hadn't used it, but I did make up a small triangular head on a swivel stick that I threw a microfiber towel over to do the windows, and it made the job much easier. It has since broke, but I have considered buying one just because it did make the job much easier.

Seems I can't clean the inside of the windshield and get into the tight corners without somehow dragging my knuckles across the parts I already wiped clean.

As for other TV products. I know I have picked some up at the drug store, and places like that that sometimes carry them. Some work, some don't. Most not nearly as good as advertised.

Oxi-clean and Orange-clean both work pretty well. The Pasta Express almost works - pasta comes out really, really al dente, ditto for asparagus, a little too much for my taste. Tap lights are a POS, they work about 2-3 times before the switch craps out.

I gotta get a Showtime Rotisserie cooker, though. The food on that commercial looks really good.

Anyone ever try the "Save A Blade"?

http://www.asseenontv.com/prod-pages/sab_ontv.html?gid=

That would be great if I could get some more use out of my fusion blades.

The Magic Bullet blender works awesome. I own a few of them. Was also pleased with the Flavor Wave convection oven.

The "Set It and Forget It" rotisserie thing works like a champ. I've never used it but my mom and grandmom used it frequently, and they were pretty awesome. I've always thought that any infomercial was pitching something that was crap, but there are some good products out there. Years ago, one of those Dateline type TV shows ranked the top 10 infomercial products, and the rotisserie was ranked #1.

At one point I was going to order the Shamwow, but got online and read some pretty bad reviews on it. I stumbled upon an infomercial review forum and pretty much all of the reviews about all of the infomercial products was negative. Made me not want to try anything advertised on TV.

The best bet for any of these, IMO, is to find someone else who's willing to to take the risk or has taken the risk and make the decision based on actual experience.

That's the Flavor Wave. Great product. Very good for cooking salmon. The house doesn't smell like spring thaw in the Flats when using that thing.

I forgot about that one.....curious to know if it works also. If it works half as good as they say it does, it would be worth the price what with the cost of blades.

Save your money. I bought one of those Save a Blades too. Piece of junk, IMO.

BTW...the only thing I have bought from TV was the Flavor Wave. The rest I picked up at a discount at Walgreens.

Bought a couple of things....one was the samuria shark knife sharpener.Works really well. The other thing was this piece of junk
http://www.asseenontv.com/prod-pages/weed_thrasher.html?gid=TOOL_OUTDOOR_PET

Everytime I tried to use it,the plastic inserts flew apart and all that was left was the little ball end on it.Waste of money for sure.

I've bought Quick Brite Lights. Not because I saw them on TV, but saw them on the store shelf. Worked pretty well for the intended purpose of drawers in the pop-up camper.

We received the Smart Spin storage container system as a Christmas gift one year. After a couple years most of the lids wouldn't snap on tight. Otherwise, pretty good idea and saves having a trillion storage containers strewn about the cabinets.

I NEVER want one of these: Hillary Nutcracker.

I bought those closet hanger systems.. I forget what they are called.. they work great, except the hooks are made of a cheap soft plastic which bends under the weight of the clothes.. Easy to fix if you can fashion a better metal hook for them..

Saw a commercial for the toothbrush thing yesterday.

interesting, but not sure that squeezing the toothpaste out of the tube myself is that hard to warrant 19.00

What I would like is a wall mount liquid laundry soap dispenser, kind of like the hotel shampoo/shower gel dispensers you see. We use the big 100oz push button dispenser now, but it sits horizontal on a shelf, and when it gets low on soap, it loses flow.

they're out there, I have seen them, but now that I'm actually interested in getting one, I can't find them anywhere.

I want one like Tim the Toolman had, that auto-dispenses into the machine.

Has anyone gotten the Obama chia-pet yet?

I remember that episode.. It had timers and did the soap, the bleach, and the fabric softener, all at the right time..

Shep mentioned in the first post he had and wasn't impressed.

My buddy bought them years ago, and hated them. He gave me some and I was not impressed at all. The infomercial sure did make them look great though!
