I didn't watch or even listen to much yesterday. I kept track of the game as I was running errands by radio or quick Espn checks. I didn't not follow the game because I am angry at ownership, FO, coaches or players. It is just painful to watch this season go down the drain.
Some of you "younger" fans may not realize, and the older ones may, but being in my early/mid-60s and following the Browns since 1969, the days of Kelly, Nelson, Warfield, Walter Johnson and Milt Morin, I have been saying wait until next year for what seems like forever. Losses hurt too much anymore.
IN my younger days, a Browns loss almost literally ruined my week. A big win and it could make a week amazing. 2020 season got me through Covid. I was nearly in tears in 1986 when Brian Brennan caught the long touchdown from Kosar and then Mosely had his kick downed at the 2.
I am never going to quit being optimistic and my hope stem from bad teams that have turned it around quickly. Some of you will find it hard to believe that I haven't lost confidence in the FO or staff. I also support all current players on the team.
On top of that I hate, hate, hate the Bengals, Steelers and Ravens, in that order.
Sorry just wanted to rant. We must be twin siblings from different mothers. My first in person NFL game was the first meeting of the Broncos and Browns in Mile High Stadium (1970). Don Cockroft kicked a go ahead FG and the Browns went on to win. My Army Dad and I were the only ones in the top of the "shoe" that day cheering Bill Nelson and Paul Warfield to victory. The 80's brought joy and agony; you are right, we lived and died Sunday-to-Sunday. I don't know that I have the same optimism about the FO and Ownership; it used to be good organizations did what it took to win games, and this Owner/Coach can't get past their own egos. Alas, being a Browns fan is in our DNA and we're afflicted with all that comes with. Go Browns.

DTR is a career backup. The only hope we have is that we can refine the offense around Winston in less than a week.
Blocking those who argue to argue, eliminates the argument.

I’m hoping he’s the new Joe. At least Winston will throw the ball. And considering the plodding, can’t get first downs offence we’ve displayed every Sunday, it might, at least, be fun. Chuck it to Tillman and Njoku, give our D reason to fight.

DTR is a career backup. The only hope we have is that we can refine the offense around Winston in less than a week. DTR, most likely, isn't even that. He's a guy that, in all likelihood, won't be on a team within three years. We're almost certainly done kicking the tires on him after this year. He *might* get a look in camps from another team or two over the following two offseasons, but I don't see him being around beyond that. The short version is that he is a dime-a-dozen kind of player and every team is bringing in new versions of him every year.

... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

Running ball more (especially as Chubb gets back his strength and conditioning), and using play-action.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Right. If we had a guy who could throw the ball downfield and execute, it also opens up the run game.

Always thought DTR needed to bulk up to take the abuse QB's get. I've liked his ability to move well and his accuracy in a few games last year was impressive but he is injury prone. In the past year he's had a shoulder injury, head injury, Hip injury, and this last game a finger injury. I doubt he can play three full games without getting hurt.

He needs to learn how to protect himself when he runs
He takes to many hits while running.
I KNOW he gets hit to much while in the pocket too, but that's, on the o-line
I AM ALWAYS RIGHT... except when I am wrong.
