. "If Trump doing something is always the next thing, that's a problem."
That's a problem.. Trump is always doing something. That's his plan.. Always do something to stay in the news. Thats a constant with him... He wants the coverage. Then if the coverage is negative, he complains that they are being unfair to him. That's what he and his base like.
This constant barking at the Main Stream Media is getting old. There are stations that are bias. MSNBC, CNN and FOX and Brietbart and Newsmax. But generally if you stay with CBS, NBC and ABC you get what the candidates say without opinion unless it's labeled as Opinion....But that's not how MAGA sees it. If its not positive about trump, the it's time to bash the Main stream media. Yet he keeps doing dumb stuff and is surprised when they report it. Even if all they do is simply play a video show what he said or did.
He wants every network to report it they way FOX news does or the way Newsmax does. That's just never going to happen and it shouldn't.

Sometimes I try to be snarky and it just doesn't hit right via text (or at all... that's a me problem).
I do understand what you're saying about Jan6, and the factors that have been at play for a long time (gerrymandering, etc). Those are absolutely things that both sides have been doing for a long time (and I'd even agree that Democrats seem to like to do the real sneaky stuff more). What I'm saying is even if the other side has been slowly chipping away at that pillar, it doesn't give MAGA the excuse to strap a stick of dynamite to it (trying to stick to the pillar of democracy metaphor).
Your post made perfect sense. And I do agree with everything you said. It's just, for me, I see this election as important to deal with a right-now problem (Trump and MAGA) so that we can get back to dealing with the problems that got us here.

This is a big win for Trump.
I think it highlights how fed up working-class folks are with Democrats (and the status quo overall) that they would even split a vote, let alone give it to Trump so heavily. Trump is about as anti-union as you can get without coming out and saying it plainly.

Trump is about as anti-union as you can get without coming out and saying it plainly. Yet somehow they haven't figured that out. Maybe someone should inform them.

I would say, if the poll is true, that it speaks volumes of what the union thinks of dems. Sometimes union members vote for what they feel is best for them.
Hey, they're seeing their jobs head overseas. think about it: Have a job, or demand higher wages and more time off, and health care increases............or not have a job.

Not supporting a candidate is a L for both parties.

It's just, for me, I see this election as important to deal with a right-now problem (Trump and MAGA) so that we can get back to dealing with the problems that got us here. I don't know. I can't shake the sense that Trump was initially selected as a stalking horse that got way more support than intended and has now gone off the rails. I see Kamala as the same machinery's choice. I'm tired of the apparatus that picks this divisive garbage. Powerbrokers that scare people into giving their power to people unworthy of it. I have a hard time seeing how doing what the problems seem to want does anything but entrench the problem. I'm not saying vote for Trump. I'm just not sure voting for the candidate that the system that created Trump (the candidate) wants you to vote for now is the best idea. The "right-now problem" is due to the ongoing problem. Continuing the ongoing problem is just going to create more right-now problems in the future, and they're only likely to get worse. I don't know what the answer is. Neither of the "realistic" choices feels like anything approaching a good one. The "less bad" one may be worse than it tries to appear. Way too much effort is being spent to make Trump look as bad as possible. I don't think a worse choice than Vance could possibly have been made. I mean someone's almost got to be purposefully trying to make that ticket as horrific as possible to make the other palatable in comparison. ...and horrific still might win. The system is broken, likely beyond repair.

American jobs have been heading overseas for decades now during both democrat and GOP administrations. And while the teamsters are a very big union, other unions across the country, including the auto workers union have all endorsed Harris. You should have used "this union" and not "unions". The teamsters are the outlier here.

Not supporting a candidate is a L for both parties. No, this is a clear L for Kamala. In the other thread, it was referenced that unions have lined up behind the Dem candidate going back quite a while.
